Funny this thread came up. I've been playing through my older stuff since there is nothing new I'm interested in currently. Anyway I originally received the Trilogy for an unbelievable brand new sales price of $15 at target and remember thinking it was already a great deal at the time since I couldn't even get MP3 for that cheap. Well since I was going through games I currently own I picked my copy of MPT and started playing MP1 again. Since I purchased the trilogy mainly to play 3 I never go the chance to play any of the others with motions controls, they makes it even more immersive if that was even possible, it truly is a classic already.

Halo: CE just a game that pulled you in and never let you go. Not to mention it was just so far ahead of anything else in 2001 huge open levels, crisp graphics and an awesome physics engine.

I'll gave to give that crown as many others have to the Jaguar. Man in 1993 when all us dumb kids were playing 16 bit system I could only imagine what a system 4 time as powerful would do lol. Well it sucked and thank god I never got one, yea AvP was decent, but not a system purchase good.

To the PCE/TG-16 argument what held back the system graphically wasn't not so much its 8bit cpu, but the fact that it only supported a sprite layer and a background layer. What this translate to is most games do not have parallax scrolling, something I consider a trademark of the 16bit gen.

REmake

I also liked RE4, although I felt its roots weren't that of a RE game, fun nonetheless.

Who would have thought that the gaming industry would work on the same basis of all human development building upon the ideas and inventions of the past.

A to the CD argument a few post back don't forget the PCE/TurboGrafx CD it was the first gaming console to utilize the technology.
