So I just built my first pc last week and had some problems with the 5870. Games run fine, but when anything is moving horizontally, it doesn't look smooth. It looks like it's jittering or something. Like there's some slight pauses. I tried lowering some setting's in the games but nothing helps. Is it also normal for every game to have screen tearing? It seems like playing in windowed mode minimizes it, but in fullscreen it's very noticeable. I know vsync helps but is it possible to not have screen tearing wothout vsync? Here are my specs if it helps
So I'm finally building a pc this week. It's my first time and I'm really excited. I was wondering if extra cooling is needed. I'll be running everyting at stock speeds, and will not be overclocking.
Awesome trailer. I didn't really like the demo, but I'm still buying this game at launch. A new Splinter Cell is better than nothing. I just hope we don't get another disappoinment that was Double Agent(360 version).

This game is friggin amazing. I just got the electric whip thingy. What weapons are worth upgrading? I already maxed out the Blades of Exile and upgraded the Cestus to level two.

Max the cestus out after that I'd say the Nemsis Whip, I really underestimated it on my first play through. Okay, cool. I'll do that. The Aphrodite part got before that got me paranoid. Everyone was sleeping and I didn't want to wake them up with the constant moaning, so I had to lower down the volume. Anything with moaning coming from my room equates to me watching porn:(

Meh, i havent liked the series since Pandora tomorrow. It was kind of fun, but there was something not right. The production values or something seemed low. The cutscenes were pretty awful, and the last cutscene before the demo abruptly ends was just terribly executed imo. A rental maybe, if i feel like it.Anjunaddict
What!?!?!?! No love for Chaos Theory?:( Double Agent was horrible and I was also letdown by the Splinter Cell Conviction demo. No more hiding bodies, throwing cans and whistling makes me sad. The new mark and execution system is all right, but takes away from the stealth aspect of the game. Can't see myself using if too much anyways.
