I'm super excited for Stranger Things season 2...but Winter is Here, Game of Thrones season 7 this Sunday at 9pm!

@gotrekfabian: I believe the battle is gonna be so massive, even with it having film length episodes, it will still take up 3 to 4 episodes. We got a small taste of what the Night's King can do on the episode "Hardhome", but we have yet to see the full on battle. I'm thinking it's gonna be Lord of the Rings, but Game of Thrones style! Then the remaining episodes will be the aftermath of the battle.

I see several folks here are missing the point. Season 7 will tie up loose ends in terms of story arcs for the main characters. Season 8 is mostly all dealing with battles. Winter is Here! The Great War against The Others will be the focus of season 8! Full length for the final 6 episodes makes a world of sense!
