@drunk_punk: FFI was definitely released in the West. FFII and FFV were not released in the West until they brought them to PSX (PS1), and later GBA. FFIII was later remade for DS.
@Acillatem1993: Final Fantasy III on SNES is Final Fantasy VI. Back then, they numbered the US releases of the FF games differently based on what had been released by territory. FFVII was the first FF outside of Japan that brought everything in line in sequence.
@clockworkengine: That's basically exactly what Metroid: Zero Mission is. I'm not sure they'd remake it a third time. I guess they could, though. I just don't think it's likely.
Metroid II has never been revisited, so it makes sense why they'd take another look at it.
