I don't mind, i would always call Dr. Robotnik "Eggman" by default. I never got adjusted. I still say use Sonic 2 as template tho. Best sonic game EVER
You know graphics arent really everything. I think there is a point where graphics can go too far (also known as the uncanny zone). Gameplay should be the forerunner for all games. You also need to consider too that graphics are a double edged sword. Sure it looks pretty, but the animation will get butchered, which is why gamemakers can't push as far as they want. I think the next gen systems should address these problems in utilizing the very best of the best. Also, when companies are packing unimaginable amountsof time and money into a single game (like god of war 3), and it only looks a bit higher than the competition, i think the limit has been found.
honestly this isn't such a big deal. Sure xbox graphics are good, but for one that is only slightly better than the psp (where have you been, its been out for ages...), and two the only titles that would really benefit are the zelda series, metriod prime series, mario cart/sports, and that's about it. The DS soars with 2-D games, end of argument. Besides if those games would be translated onto the new DS, i have a feeling the controls will not be tight.
So nintendo fanboys, be satisfied with your ds, go get a psp if you want something with better graphics
it would be totally awesome, but unlikely. The market right now is just way to oversaturated, not to mention brutal (more Recession anyone?). Oh and the price drops are appearing like weeds all over the place. They can do this because theyre systems have been established... I mean Sega's been out of the game since what 99-ish. To produce a cheap, powerful system, with great game-support, AND... not getting completely laughed out to the market...yeah good luck with that. maybe when it cools down in a few years, I really miss Jet Grind Radio, and Sonic Adventure 2 DREAMCAST FOREVER!!!
You know there needs to be a distinction because people keep lumping the realm of Hardcore gamers with casual gamers. If a person is a Hardcore gamer, then he would want either the 360 or ps3, because they strive for the cutting edge of gaming- the wii completely fails its hardcore gamer base (with only Twilight Princess, Fire Emblem, Brawl and a few others). Not to mention that the First-Party features are just crappy Mario rehashes that ADHD-hyped preschoolers play. As for the casual games, yes the Wii completely dominates. Hands Down. Let's face it wii gamers are too busy having fun to analysize the quality and depth of game that they are playing. Makes sense, when u at a party who really cares if the game is good when your with friends. in fact the crappiness makes it more enjoyable... Also the 360 has despretly been trying to reach that casual gamer goldmine (sony too) with the motion control. I believe that the Wii's motion control is not all that great, and the fact that it has been released and analysized by Microsoft and Sony for years means that it would be absurd if they didn't have a better motion control system by now. Leave the casual gamers to their cheap chew toys and arm flailing And leave the Hardcore gamers to fanboy-ism
Yep for the next gen xbox isn't coming out for a long time, even though I think they should. At least have a re-released system to beef up the frame rate, ditch the completely useless HD-DVD player and put in Blu-Ray, and making it quieter. Heck if they did this and make Live free (or cheaper at least), we could kill Sony in one fell swoop... Oh and coming from a Microsoft fanboy: sorry but the PS3 slim is going kill us
