[QUOTE="DrummerJon"][QUOTE="HoffmanSony"]exactly, many animal change gender. Clownfish for example, or those toads they used to clone the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Thats how the Raptors started reproducing. Sex changes are perfectly normal in the natural worldH8sMikeMoore
meh, not really in mammals. Transgender tendacies don't have a lot of biological support in terms of evolutionary past (genes). Prenatal enviroment on the other hand can deeply effect the psychology of a person. Something like attempting to change gender wouldn't survive evolution very long. Unless ,of course, your species has the ability (like the ones you mentioned) but we havnt had that ability for a loooooong time.
the mere fact that humans can do what they want with technology is enough. if he/she wants to live as whatever they want then obviously its natural seeing as we arent violating any laws of nature by the mere fact that were doing it. the only unnatural things are the things that are impossible and as it turns out theres not that much that is impossible. anything thats possible is natural.
Not saying it isn't natural, only that its not biological. The Prenatal enviroment feminises the brain sometimes and such, its a natural process. We do not, biologically, have the ability to switch genders. Even our current "ability" is limited and is more of genital mutilation rather than gender changing (our DNA is still programed with XX or XY).
Hoff used biological examples and related it to humans, which was a flawed argument.
Also we could get into the whole "gender vs sex" argument but I'm not nearly passionate enough to persue it.
I once defected to atheism, but I rediscovered my faith...but before that I was agnostic, then atheist, then agnostic...then religious...
I plan for it to stay that way now.

I am genuinly curious how that works. A suprising amount of Atheists become Christians (not a huge % but a decent chunk). I'm curios what drove you to Atheism in the first place? I arrived through logic and I can't imagine a logic that can undo it, others become Atheists because they are angry at god or want to rebel and such.
So I'm basically asking what type of Atheist were you? If you became one through logic I would also like to ask how you undid that?
[QUOTE="mysterylobster"]]You don't think the Bible is the source of modern science? I'll direct you, as I've done others, to a newish book called The Politically Correct Guide to the Bible. There are other sources, of course, but this one os the most available and asccesable for younger readers. reiv
If you can give me just one useful invention or discovery that uses god as the source, I'll buy that book.
freaking huge boats that can carry lots of animals.
