I'd go with the Acer. I just picked up a laptop myself for under $400, just for soemthing to have in the living room to surf on, play videos and music. Nothing crazy, AMD Athlon II 2.2Ghz with 4GB DDR3 ram, also came with Radeon 4250....hey....I can play half life 2 at medium settings! And Oblivion...lol. I'm gonna try out Deus Ex in a bit see how that runs! Butyeah go with the Acer, would be your better bet.

12:30PM ~ 2:30PM - Wake up.
2:30PM to 6:00PM - Do whatever, play games, Gamespot, run errands, breakfast, dinner.
6:00PM - leave for work
6:30 - Start work
2:30AM - Get off work (unless I get some overtime in)

3:00AM - Get home
3AM to 6:30 ~ 7AM - Play games, eat something, watch movies, watch TV.
5:30 ~ 7AM - Go to bed. Whenever I'm tired....

Weekends are a little different, the girlfriend has a "normal" schedule she tries to keep up with me and my late nights but it sometimes fails.

This is what DLC should be....

Not something thrown together and put up for sale the same week as release!

Check out those two links above. You don't have to overclock the ram at all. Watch out when overclocking your cpu though as the fsb will go up on the ram, it does on my board. You'll have to set the correct multiplier to set the ram back to stock speeds. Not sure if I worded all that right.

Not a bump just an update for people having problems that are like mine. I wasn't able to get my Ram to run at 1066mhz with 8GB. I did some research and finally came to the idea to update my bios. Now flashing your Bios can be very dangerous if you screw it up so I recommended doing your research before you do it. With a gigabyte board it pretty simple. Long story short, updating my bios fixed all my ram problems. I'm now over clocked with my ram running strong at 1066mhz (which were the stock speeds of the ram to begin with)
