@DIOSNY: It may be just that platinum bit more than what they can chew, between 2014 and now they simultaneously worked on Scalebound, The legend of Korra, Transformers, Star Fox Zero, TMNT, Nier and who knows what else.

@skipper847: he's not talking about not playing them, just not working on them, big budget development is a high risk long commitment time environment, where as developing mobile games is low cost, fast, and the bulk of the business is marketing, social engineering, market research, focus testing.

now from a gamer standpoint the products coming from the mobile market is bad quality, but for a CEO the bottom line is what matters, and even if it's trash it's hard to argue against trash that's printing millions a day

@XxParasite: you'd have to specify which generation because of better throughput and IPC differences, even if that's been only around 5-12% the past few generation it adds up. Also the improvements in turbo boost and even fast ram can make quite a difference.

All the stuff can add up and we end up with a i3-6100 almost outperforming a i5-2500.

@jinzo9988: a 32gb SD card costs cents to manufacture, carts being more expensive is a thing of the '90s. NAND flash is dirt cheap nowadays

@Xristophoros: these 'cartridges' are just flash, like a faster SD card, so it's probably dirt cheap.
