@balrogbane: that is the reason it's not a problem for them. if you don't need to push the hardware you can use higher level engines and let the engine handle the hardware on it's own without them having to optimize anything, for graphically demanding titles it's a problem because there's one extra set of hardware you have to go adjust the graphics etc. and that is time and resource consuming.
"Both the Xbox One and [Windows 10] Quantum Break title updates are in the certification process right now,"
so you telling me the win store games need cert? than I don't think many companies and indies using that while you can release an update on steam for free
@masterthrall: movies only has a a couple of weeks maybe months of shooting, playing in 2-3 movies for actors in one year happens often. only a handful of people has to work on films from pre production to post production
@Terrorantula: treyarch said a few months back that they will be adding modding for black ops 3 later this year didn't they? the director of dev said earlier this month that closed alpha access is already out for some people
@Eddie619: I would not say that, the new ps4 is still just a buffed up ps4 that would play some games at 60fps instead of 30 and some games with a bit better visuals, it's nothing ground breaking, and I don't see PSVR getting off the ground just yet, the VR headsets itself are impressive but still need killer apps before they can take off
