The video game industry is out of touch, & continues to ignore what its customers want. Playstation & XBox are being run into the ground while AAA developers continue to release broken games, & lazy, boring experiences.
Meanwhile, they are in denial.
There is an economic reckoning coming to the video game industry. These layoffs are a band-aid on a bullet wound.
Spencer has only had the job for 6 or 7 years, and been at Xbox for over 20 -- how could he be expected to know how to do his job ALREADY?
The guy has been the face of one XBox excuse after another for what has been a disaster over the course of his reign.
Think about it - XBox was ruling the industry during the XBox 360 era. Since Spencer came along XBox has embarrassed itself over and over. Whether it was making their flagship console a cable box (XBox One) or spending untold millions to buy Twitch streamers only to shut down their streaming service a few months later.....and then buying dozens of studios only to release terrible game after terrible game....when they are releasing anything at all, that is...

Yeah - he should be - and either he is merely the public face of a bunch of executives that are incompetent or he is the main incompetent -- either way - XBox would be bankrupt if not for Microsoft paying their bills.
They will continue to be a joke if nothing changes...and it sure doesnt seem like its going to...
In actuality, Spencer doesnt care about Redfall because he is never held accountable for XBox spiraling into dumpster fires. He just puts on one of his spiffy T-Shirts and the loyal fanboys cheer.
A garbage XBox is bad for gaming, so i want them to succeed...i just cant see how that happens as long as the same people, with the same bad ideas, keep doing the same things.
The worst Lego game ever made, by far. Its boring and unfunny. Whoever decided to make wandering the desert a level but NOT the 2nd battle of the Death Star should be fired. How does that decision get made -- and its not the only one like it.
Its a mess of poor design, lazy levels, & zero creativity. They added horrible dialogue where none belongs but left out iconic conversations. All you do is break empty boxes, benches, and plants most of the time. The leveling system is lame & unnecessary.
The game breaks too often and must be restarted. Ive had the video go completely black. Ive had mission steps not register so continuing is impossible. Ive had CPU characters refuse to do carry out their actions making continuing impossible.
All the hub worlds are empty and lifeless. They should have had less, but put some thought into them. Everything is soulless.
I cant even express how disappointed i am. I finished my first playthrough and have zero motivation to go collectible hunting. Its just a boring game. The combat is not more engaging, its one dimensional and the exact same every time. Every lightsaber battle is the exact same. Every boss uses the same exact moves. Its so poorly done.
The game sold well because we have always gotten great Lego games, so we all just assumed this would be a masterpiece....and of course Star Wars is one of the most popular IPs of all time.
I believe the game is a disaster that will hurt Lego game sales for the foreseeable future.... Plus, expect the game to have no legs. Every other Lego game is better. Lego Lord of Rings blows Skywalker Saga, away, and its almost 10 years old. DC Villains is excellent. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is even far superior. I cant think of one close to as boring...

This trailer is bad. Its just famous cliches of the original done again, but lazier and dumbed down. "Look at my rabbit tattoo -- if you want the truth you gotta follow me"
What was a clever use of symbolism and the Alice in Wonderland easter egg in the original is now just straight boring dialogue. So, even after the EXACT same use of the girl with the rabbit tattoo, they blurt out the obvious meaning, ruining any subtly or thought--
They even used the most cliche song possible.
Every character is a bad copy of one from the original. There better be a really good reason or its clear this just about tricking people into giving up their money.
Its creatively bankrupt.
If not for Keanu Reeves, im not sure i would care about it at all. Hes just the best, so he gets the benefit of the doubt.

@alastor529: Oh, its a lie. You dont reboot a series that is popular, every 6 months. Its a garbage character because shes written badly, by bad writers. Ms Marvel has dumb powers, and has never had an interesting story, so unless you pretend to like her because of some political agenda dependent completely on her skin color.....which is the racism of white virtue signalers......there is nothing about her that is worthy of a video game.
The game will tank.....maybe it was always going to....but now its guaranteed.
I just hated the mechanic which has you picking up ammo for your hand....it made the combat weird. I was so annoyed by it, it ruined the whole demo for me.
I cant judge the whole game on the demo of course, but that mechanic is something i really didnt like.

I like that they went with 3 completely different themes for the DLC.
Far Cry is Far Cry, but if you like it, i bet this DLC is pretty good. They usually do a good job extra content for Far Cry games. They dont feel like part of the main game, chopped off to make more money.
Im enjoying Far Cry 5. Its kind of predictable but fun so far.
