I think the market would support more games like Cuphead. Many gamers want to be challenged.....those that dont will be locked out of tons of games, thats just reality. Im not sure why Cuphead is getting such a negative response from gaming journalists.....
Does it all go back to that video of the game journalist failing the Cuphead tutorial?
Are they feeling defensive because of the laugh some people got from that video?
After all the difficult games released over the years, im confused why Cuphead has caused an uproar.
After the work and serious talent that went into Cuphead, im glad its selling well......difficult or not, its a wonderful achievement.
All my friends thought the game was good, but wont spend a dollar buying it after Cliffy called us names for not agreeing with his politics.
If you want to be the face of a video game....i suggest you shut your piehole whenever you think about virtue signalling.
Hey, you have the right to say whatever you want.....but dont be surprised when it effects the success of your project.
I know its hard to believe....but most of the country isnt San Francisco, LA, or NYC.
In fact, if you live in one of those places..... you should probably reverse every single belief you have.....history, science, and society has shown you are wrong about everything.
@Marky360: Its the best service on console. Far better than PS Plus or XBox Gold and its half the price. You get new stuff every few months and its always worthwhile stuff.....plus you always get the current year of EA sports games.....usually about 6 months after release....sometimes sooner....
I think its 5 bucks a month...try it out....but the yearly 30 buck subscription is the way to go if you like it.
Was hoping for Dead Space 3.....like to revisit that one.
EA access for 30 bucks a year is the best value on console. You get every EA sports game, plus access to the current years version within months of its release....
Star Wars Battlefront plus all the expansions, All the Battlefield games, Need for Speed games, Mass Effect Games, now Dead Space games, plus tons of others...
Hate to sound like a commercial, but i cant believe how much more ive paid for so much less on a regular basis.....
Destiny has changed a ton from launch, but usually in careful incremental steps.....i get the impression that they are continuing to follow that design plan.
When a game is as successful as Destiny is, there is always a fear by the "powers that be" in a company that big changes could threaten that success by alienating the core players. Its obvious that is how Bungie sees it. If they were going to change whole paradigms of the Destiny experience.....this would have been when they did it.....
If you like the game enough to have stuck around through the whirlwind romance that was Destiny 1, i imagine this game will not be bad enough to scare you away.
Who knows what new players will think. Ive been around since day one so my perspective is too skewed to have a clue whether Destiny 2 will grab them.
I do know that i cant wait to start playing in about 9 hours......
