[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]

I asked if the Leafs gave team Canada a pep talk. And what do they do the night after the Gold medal game? Blow a 3 goal lead with 14 minutes left in the third:lol: But they won...and ran over Atlanta 9-3 lastnight:shock: 15 goals in 2 games? I don't think they've scored that many in the last 2-3 weeks combined.

Mkavanaugh77

YEah i was surprised to see that score! Youd expect that from goal scoring teams like Cancuks, Detroit, Chicago, Pens, but not from Toronto

I wouldn't expect that from anyone actually based on how well Pavalec is playing. Maybe Tampa or the Flyers could too.

The West is crazy. Kings went from 4th, and with a loss and other teams wins, is in 12th. Going to be close until the end.

What team you support?

The Leafs:cry: And the Flyers, cheared for them since 2003 or so. Richards is my favorite players, since junior in Kitchener he has been.

The Islanders have been on quite the roll lately...7-3 in their last ten games. Beating Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Colorado. Can they take down the 'Hawks?

So Sidney Crosby feels that David Stekel's hit on him in the Winter Classic wasn't legal. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=5988345

Sorry Sid, it looks accidental to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUQziwabMKk&feature=related

Mid-season draft rankings were released today. And my favorite junior players is number one, Gabriel Landeskog of the Kitchener Rangers.

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=348854

Another Ranger, Ryan Murphy, is #10, and it wouldn't be surprising to end up seeing him top 5 with Landeskog. Don Cherry has said time after time Murphy will be #1 and he has guessed right the past few years.

The Sharks are completely snakebit right now. It would've been really nice to win last night's game because 350+ of us went down in 5 buses to the game in Anaheim. Ron Wilson is going for his 600th career victory tonight against his former club. I hope he doesn't get it lol.

 Kessel made it, but not Zetterberg or Mike Richards. Oh god:lol:

Come on Leafs, win your 4th straight and 600th for Wilson. Even though I want him gone, that's a great accomplishment. Start Reimer tonight and we should win! Sad to see him get sent down when Giggy is back,he's played great, especially if he wins tonight.

Burke CANNOT send down Reimer now. 4 team wins in a row, 3 for him. Last night: 4 PP, 21 saves in the second alone. The night before, 6-on-4 with a minute to go. Their PK has gone from 28th or 29th to 25th in this 4 game stretch. Maybe they can move Jiggy, or go to a 3 goalie rotation thing. Just don't send him down.

Finally the Blue Jackets end this losing streak! Great game; after the first period it was all Steve Mason, stopping many tough shots.

I don't know why that guy flew under the radar in the Draft so much. The knock was his skating, but give me a break.

He's underrated, he's not going to wow anyone with his stickhandling, but he goes all out every shift, which makes him amazing on the powerkill.

I'd like to see what Brunnstrom can do, although I think he's starting in the AHL. Hopefully it's one of those "change of scenery" kind of things and he'll get back on track..but that hasn't worked out great for Phaneuf's offense.

I will not be surprised if the Leafs give back everything the just won, and lose 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 5 now that Reimer is back in the Minors. I know it shouldn't make that big a difference, but it looked likea different team with him in net. I won't worry though. Jiggy will hurt his groin again in a couple weeks:P Maybe he will get traded...

Surely it was not Giguere's fault the Leafs lost tonight.

Surely. Both him and Kiprusoff played incredibly well.

Tavares is having a great year, he's fun to watch. He got a pretty awesome goal against the Avs in OT last Saturday.

Anyway, thought I'd mention to everyone, Yahoo Sports offers free live games on a majority of days (it's blacked out if it's your own team), for the US at least. But I'm currently watching the Preds vs. Hawks, watched the Pens vs. Bruins earlier.

Congratulations to Patrick Marleau and Jamie Langenbrunner for reaching 1000 games. I don't think two players have played their 1000th game on the same night as another player. Both scored a goal in their teams' victories to boot. I grew up watching Patty and he's still one of my favorite players. He's the 3rd youngest to reach the milestone, but would have been the youngest if it weren't for the lockout year.

Damn, I didn't know Marleau played that many games already. Good trade for the Stars to acquire Langenbrunner, he's probably extremely happy to get out of Jersey.

Yeah, it doesn't feel like he's been in the league for 14 years. If Marleau was born one day later, he would've had to wait until the 1998 NHL Draft. Lucky for him lol. I remember hearing that he needed a parent's signature to play in a pre-season game because he was still a few days from turning 18 at the time.

Yeah I can't imagine him playing for anyone else other than the Sharks, although I thought they might deal him a few years back.

Brandon Dubinsky out 3 to 4 weeks with a stress fracture in his leg. Rangers are doing well without him though leading the Leafs 4-0 after the 1st period. Gaborik has 2 so far.

What a night for Gaborik and the Rangers. How often do players produce THAT quickly after getting benched/scratched? haha
