Yeah, that made me giggle for a moment. The best thing I've seen now is an ad in the very first mission which stated
iCruiser: Are you operational?
I laughed hard at this one.
"BUT BUT TEH PC GAMIGN IS DYING!"
2morrow is going to be awesome

1 game means PC gaming is as stong as ever? No.
I'll be downloading it this morning, hopefully playing it at work tomorrow night. Haven't really played all that much RTS games since the original, so it will be nice to get back into the genre.

Click on the arcade cabinet ;)
Wasn't able to get the Collector's Edition, it's completely out of stock in SEA but I'm still happy because I got the SE and just unboxed it so far, going to play it ASAP! :D :D
Also realised that if you register your CD Key, no matter what happens to your Starcraft 2 Disk, you can always download the full client since you already prove that you have the original cd key which in my opinion is really good!
Look at what possibilities you can make with the Starcraft 2 Editor!

One of the reasons why I also bought this game.
Bought this game for the 2v2 and the mods. I think I spent upwards of 300hours just playing mods for Warcraft 3 and I didn't even touch the original game. Haven't been impressed by the singleplayer so far, hopefully it will pick up. It also hard froze my computer when I was trying to close it, a common problem in the beta.
Oh, yeah and it's got Real ID, which is ****ing stupid.

You guys are going to be pleased! They have a mini-game you can play in the Cafeteria, upgrade your troops from the Armory, hire Mercenary elites, choosing between two missions that will offer a unique unit. ( I had to choose between a firebat or a marauder but I'd went with the firebat, still loving that unit and very effective against zerg.)
They have made Starcraft 2 more interesting plus the cinematics are....well...more cinematic!
I am new to RTS games. My experience with RTS games is limited, almost nonexistant. I was just wondering if i will be able to jump in with Starcraft II or will i be completely over my head? IS there a mode/modes that introduce you slowy to the basics and such? I assume i will be pretty outmatched in multiplayer but will i be able to pick it up relatively quickly? SHould i try a different RTS game first? Thank for the help in advance.

Just do the tutorials, play the campaign on an easyier difficulty.
Im not that great at rts games to be honest but i still find some of them alot of fun. Even if you just play the campaign and use the editor and peoples singleplayer missions you get alot out of the game. After a bit of practise and learning im sure you could hop online and go against some people with similair skill level.

no, there is no shortcut that you can learn it quickly.RTS is not a noob friendly game like FPS...unless you are playing against othernoobs. Generally, RTS games have deep learning curve. That's why RTS is no longer on par with FPS and MMORPG.
Took me like a half hour to finally purchase it. I still can't play though since it says there's no game associated to my account when it clearly shows it in there on their website. im guessing i have to put a cd key in but they never gave me one. I got an email as a receipt but nowhere in it was a cd key. No idea...Anyone trying to buy the digital version of the game but getting a stupid "There has been an error processing your request" error over and over??? I've been trying to buy it since the minute it came on sale, but I can't get the payment though :S

Played for about 4 hours so far and... the campaign is wicked!
Im about 6 missions deep so far, what a treat we have here! The voice acting is superb, the gameplay is good, the performance is fantastic, good story so far and its just fun as heck to play. The game is extremely polished and a joy to behold 8)
I have no clue about the online, Ive just been going at the campaign hard so far today, its a masterpeice so far.
Dont listen to people saying it sucks or that its same as starcraft1 (like thats a bad thing).
Pretty much does everything well in this game and is polished extremely well.
Seeing a lot of mixed opinions about this game, pretty surprised so many people dislike it and saying "it's the same as the original with better graphics". I figured it would be game of the decade lol. I grew up on Sc1 and loved it but I am not sure whether to make the digital purchase or not and I got the game preloaded and ready to go. Are there any more opinions/reviews about the game so I can finally make up my mind tonight? For the record graphics mean nothing to me, it's all about the gameplay--but a little eye candy doesn't hurt ;) Greatly appreciated thanx guys!Commando321mostly people who havent played the game dissing it, just like any other huge release. 65% here have given it a 10.
I'm leaning toward 9.5. Lack of lan support will be its biggest problem. I am absolutely loving the single player right now and the online is a blast on battle.net. I can honestly see KevinV knocking down a .5 because of the semi battle.net drm and lack of lan support though. If he speculates on prices of the next games or categorizes this as 1/3 a game then this will be a 9. I wait to see his decision on these. He could just as easily foreshadow these issues and still give a 10.
If we comparing RTS to RTS for Pc gaming on gamespot, this should be higher then Tiberium Wars and offcourse way higher then Supreme Commander 2 reviewed here (Tiberium Wars suffered from MASSIVE bugs from first release date, bad EA server setup and a high computer requirement but still received a 9; Supreme Commander 2 was degraded down in graphical intensity, more streamlined and a lackluster story, and no ability to edit/make maps but managed a 8 here). Considering another rts in the form of Warhammer 40K's still has received great scores for in essence making expansions out of the series (I have enjoyed all the 40K games just using it as a reference), then this should not be a issue or detriment in categorizing sc2 as 1/3 a game. Another 9.0 game was Company of heroes. Its biggest detriment was high line computer requirements (new pixel shaders which cut out alot of older video cards) and not alot of factions. The story line in the first version only dealt with one side of the paradigm but it was not a detriment to the game so that could possibly rule out degradation of the Starcraft 2 score. This will only be so if KevinV feels the 30 mission single player story from the terran perspective is enough substance to classify it as a worthwhile single player experience. In the end, there is a lot of variables in what this game can score across the board and that is not just gamespot. I am using them as a reference as I know more on there review numbers on RTS games.
I'm thinking a consensus many members are saying is 9.0, 9.5, or 10. We will see. I so need to find out KevinV's battlenet account and play him online. That would be epic.
