The Last Of Us touches on loss and how it can effect our emotional development through traumatic events and touches on themes of salvation.

Bioshock Infinite's storyline looks into the very nature of the universe. Can't really say any more without spoiling it.

Deus Ex: HR: Asks the question "what is it to be human"? and how far should we take technology while still maintaining our humanity. How much are we willing to sacrifice in the name of evolution.

All 3 made me think very seriously about the important matters in life. Helps that all three are fantastic games to play as well.

I votes No. That doesn't mean I'll not be picking up an XboxOne in a few years. Just not at $400. I'm not a Forza, DR, GOW, Halo, or Titalfall fan so no exclusives on it yet to make me get one but in a few years I'll get one to play the excellent games I may have missed out on.

I did the same this gen and thank god I did. I'd have missed out on some remarkable games like Alan Wake, The Witcher 2, condemned, Fable series and L4D.

Only an idiot would deny themselves that chance to play even more great games because they aren't on the system they prefer.

Not really a game but i'd say that 30% of the reason I'm opting for Sony is Naughty Dog. I just know that whatever they release will be a top top game. Add that to Santa Monica working on The Order:1886 and an inevitable God Of War game, plus there's always the slim chance that Team Ico will release something then it'll be game over for gen 8.

@Basinboy That Sony list has just made me more excited than a kid at Christmas. Forgot all about Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Looks sweet.

To be honest the only catagory that I give a shit about is games library. Can't wait 'til the PS4 get some decent titles as so far Xbox has the more interesting line-up. We all know that'll change but patience isn't one of my strong points.

UI looks very good but let's see how it functions before passing judgement. Not a far cry from the latter dashboard of the Xbox360 which will make for an easy adjustment.

Did I see Ryse was a 35GB install? That hard drive may fill up rather fast. Important that MS get external storage support up and running ASAP. Overall looks very good just not really for me. PS4 as previously said are focusing soley on games. That's fine with me as that's what I want from my console.

Has to be TLOU for me. Enjoyed Tomb Raider and GTA 5 but both didn't warrant a second play-through. Currently doing TLOU for the 6th time. Genuinely breathtaking game and in my top two for GOTG let alone GOTY.

Edit: Special mention to Bioshock. Another wonderful achievement in gaming despite the recent hipster hatred for it.

I got bored of DX:HR, need to give it another go, but too many great games to play. My personal favorite, and everyone will laugh, is Far Cry 2. No detection meters, no hand holding, completely open world, and like in a real situation being stealthy is very difficult as you need to get headshots to prevent them from screaming and the AI can see beyond 5 ft unlike in most games. I enjoyed the challenge, the immersion, and the tension, you really have to trust your instincts, because 1 wrong move and it's over.

I enjoyed FC2 for a short while but the respawning enemies, malaria medication stuff and enemies ability to spot me crouched in tall grass from 100m away and headshot me every time put me off. FC3 is just leaps and bounds above it's predecessor IMHO.

DE:HR is a masterpiece. I'd recommend going back to it. First time I played it I got as far as Sarif industries then quit. I went back to it 3 months later and boy was I surprised. Once it becomes open world it is a fabulous experience unsurpassed this gen.

Same as I did this gen. Getting PS4 early next year when a few decent games are released then Xbox one in 2015 to enjoy all the exclusives I've missed out on.

I voted yes but to be honest I don't really consider either games as pure stealth. They are, however, two of the best games this gen by far but I think some of the appeal is that they offer the player a freedom of choice that other games don't. You're free to play through pure stealth or go all guns blazing. Especially with the DE:HR directors cut meaning you can stealth kill the bosses. Dishonored even offers two distinct endings to reward your play style.

Both fantastic games.

I get the impression that many Gamespot editors/reviewers are hipsters. They just love giving out contradictory scores just to make sure they are viewed outside of mainstream thinking . You tend to get these types in all media. Music journalists and film critics who wax lyrical about a film/album everyone else hates and declare them cult hits and rubbish the popular choices.

TLOU review was a prime example of that. Tom even admits so in his bio. Stating that he loves all the things you hate and vice versa. A hipster in the sea of hipsters. A few reviewers just seem to miss the point of some games. They are just so out of touch with the gamer that their reviews stand out like a sore thumb. Look at Tom's Bioshock Infinite review. Pure and utter drivel.
