If they aren't bundling the PS eye with the console that would make developers not want to develop for it as not everyone will have an PS eye, so there won't be many games for the PS eye. So once again the PS eye will become a redundant piece of kit.
At the moment console digital purchase isn't working because of two points 1. the hard drives aren't big enough and 2. the price points aren't right.
The only reason I have steam is for the steam sale and the price points were good. I'm not going to buy a game £40 on PSN when I can get a hard copy for £20 it's insane.
Tbh now they have done this the only difference is the price point, if they change that then they are basically the same console with a different operating system
I've never pre-ordered a console before due to release bugs and what ever but I can really see that the PS4 demand might be so it will be impossible to get for a while after launch so I tempted to pre-order this time round.
looks awesome the whole idea could work brilliantly but it will fall at one hurdle if the price for digital games is still insane compared to the retail counterpart. If I was in the main characters postion and killzone was £50 on PSN and £40 at retail there is no way I'm paying for a digital copy and that destroys the whole connectivity feel Sony is trying to create. However the downloaded specific parts of the game first was quite awesome indeed.
