Should be fine for game saves. Just not for downloadable content (expansions, arcade games, etc). Which isn't a problem if you don't have Live.

Cartoony style doesn't sound promising for AC2, but i'm sure Ubisoft wouldn't use it anyhow. As for game engine, that would be an indicator. And Ubisoft haven't announced it as such, but they have said "we're working very hard on it". See recent Gamespot news story.

Yep you can. You can also buy them directly off the xbox.com site from your computer, and they're credited direct to your account too.

Fairly useless thread. But to answer your question, no, no cars you can drive. And the amount of stuff you can carry from the get go depends on how you allocate your S.P.E.C.I.A.L points. You could put them all onto Strength at the start of the game if you liked and start carrying the max amount possible. But you'd suck at Perception, Charisma and what not.

Being a big fan of both games, i've thought quite a bit about the merits of them both. As mentioned earlier by others, Fallout is of smaller scope with more attention to detail. Oblivion is massive. And I mean massive. I'd put area to be covered around 2.5 times the size of Fallout 3. For me there are 2 big reasons Oblivion is superior. Firstly, there are a TON of quests. There is the main questline, then questlines for Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Fighter's Guild, Mages Guild and Arena. Then, there are a heap of varying side quests. Fallout really can not compete with this at all. Secondly, the quality and depth of the storylines in each of the questlines in Oblivion is amazing. Plenty of backstory, twists, excitement and more. Fallout, whilst entertaining, didn't surprise me once. It was a little too straightforward. So sure, Fallout looks somewhat better with updated graphics etc, but overall Oblivion is a much superior game. However, the really good news is that it's now only about $25 AUD. So you can buy both. Which i recommend :)

Yeah i love the achievements. Go for as many as i can get in the games. I've been known to spend heaps of time doing some pretty mundane things to get the achievement too. However, once i stop enjoying it, that's it. Like, I wasn't going to play GTA IV online for hours and hours and devote all my time to honing my skills to get the last few online achievements (not to mention the ridiculous racism in the GTA lobbies). So i'm left on around 900/1000 for that game. I think that if you enjoy getting them, great. Personal choice. If it's too hard/annoying or a chore, then they should be left alone.

[QUOTE="tnargus"][QUOTE="Zandroz"]

The level cap is 20. I know of a few people that didn't buy the game because it had a level cap. Mabey in future DLC they might increase that. I think I'm about 6 hours into it and around level 7. Awesome game though!

maccer101

When you reach Level 20, on the Loading screen it show's the Level Bar as 20 > 21, with your location right at 20. This makes me think that in DLC there will be higher levels unlocked. But yes, capped levelling sucks.

there's a perk called "here and now" that gives you one extra level

but who knows what the dlc will bring...

Yeah it raises you one level, but it wouldn't take you past 20. When you reach 20 you stop earning experience, and stop levelling, therefore making it impossible to choose another perk. Hopefully DLC will do something. Did everyone see Bethesda's announcement re DLC? Sounds good.

I'd try Mass Effect. Though as others have noted, the differences are superficial. You could plop Mass Effect into a D&D setting with minimal changes.Palantas
He's played it thru 4 times tho :)
