I don't care about tracing the rays. I'm looking forward to the new games it will have, oh wait Xbox has no games lol.

It will make racing games better though....

Since when did better reflections make a game better?

Hermits need to sit and prey that consoles do end with decent ray tracing capabilities as it'll slow the adoption rate down on PC and before you know it RT will end up as nothing more then half arsed tick box.

If RT is to become a standard it NEEDS console to do that....

@scatteh316: @ten_pints: Didn’t we get PS4’s APU Firestrike benchmark scores?

No because no one has an actual PS4 APU running PS4's low level access to run the benchmark in a real world, realistic way.

How exactly would you benchmark a closed system with no support on other operating systems?

Why is that so hard to believe?

PS5 will have more then enough grunt to run those games at 4k/60.

Hmmm. 4X resolution (or more?) and twice the fps. Well if it is 8 times stronger I guess.

Pro runs the vast majority of it's games at 1440p.......so where are you getting 4x the resolution from?

You would be looking at just over double the resolution with the frame rate still being an unknown as we would need a break down on a per game basis to know what head room there is on games with a 30fps cap.

Don't believe it will actually be hardware based, we know what MS is like with their wordings. I know they said it is, but they will probably say it is the graphics card which is doing it based on shaders, rather than what we would interpret as RT cores.

As per the DF video it's confirmed the consoles are using the RDNA variant of Navi...which has hardware support for RT.

Until I have full confirmation of RT cores, then I'm still sceptical.

Well if they're using RDNA then they will have dedicated RT cores as that's what the RDNA architecture is....... Navi with RT cores.

NAVI 10 is also "RDNA" and yet it does not have dedicated RT cores. So its not a guarantee.

Do you have a link that says Navi 10 doesn't have RT cores? As everything I've seen says 'to be confirmed'
