@Incubus420 The problem is pubs want to have their cake and eat it too. They complain about losing revenue to used games (which no can say for sure) but then when they have an outlet to persuade people to buy new (digital) by discounting the price, they don't do it.

Although, I do wonder sometimes, if they did discount digital copies, would that just mean used copies get sold for less than the digital version, starting the fight all over again?

@skiggy29 @lo266 I am bothered by corporate BS spin and by the spread of bad info. That's what I was talking about. Care to re-read it? I didn't say anything about Sony - you did. Who's the fanboy replying to every comment evenly remotely negative about MS?

Again, someone speaking without any facts - in this case about me. Unlike you, I'm no fanboy. I've owned nearly every console there has been over the last 15 or so years. I will enjoy any games as long as they are good games, not because they are on a particular system. And I will likely own both the XB One and PS4. So stop talking out of your ass for once and stick to what you know (however little that is).

@Chrypt22 @racerxgundam Way to reference an article on Forbes that reflects the author's personal opinion based on no facts.

Also, can't you smell the BS hype MS is putting out by saying this? They said it is trending ahead of the 360 during the same period. Well let's see, why could that be? Maybe because most pre-order programs began in August for the 360 as opposed to June for the One. Or could it have something to do with the fact that there are so many online outlets you can pre-order from now versus the handful you could do so back in 05?

It's just marketing speak. But people will eat that kind of stuff up all the time. It's sad really.

@ssdd_again If you think tracks and cars ("a whole bunch of content" according to Turn 10) will only be a small amount of data, you are sadly mistaken. It will probably be several GBs when you consider all the high-res textures they will have for the tracks and cars.

@ssdd_again They aren't pressing discs right now - not with 4 months still before launch. They could have designed the game to add things later, that's true.

What may well be the case, however, is they had to do that due to too little dev time because MS is rushing as has been rumored. That usually isn't a good thing, no matter how you slice it. What it also could mean is you still may not get the whole game as originally planned because they may not finish it in time anyway. So you could end up with several less tracks and cars or what amounts to half a game...

@AnnoyedBatman It's kind of ignorant to say things like this. For many, it isn't an issue of affordability. There could be other factors at play. Infrastructure may not be in place for some so that may mean limited or no service. For others, they could be under a capped plan, where downloading GBs of data could not be possible or would be very expensive to do.

@jarozi I disagree. I dislike Microsoft's policies as much as the next guy but I don't think this is an anti-used game issue. They (supposedly) aren't preventing you from lending or selling your game so as long as you have the disc, you can download the required data.

That said, I think it does confirm MS is rushing to market with the Xbox One. The devs don't have enough time to finish the game as planned because MS is trying to beat Sony to market so they have to work right up until the last possible second. Buyer beware - this can only mean a half-baked or buggy game.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear other MS games have the same issue requiring a download on day one.

@TrueGB @lo266 I'm not saying I believe them. -just that there is no evidence behind the limited sharing plan.

@TrueGB According to MS, this is not true. Shared games would not have been time-limited.

Question is, do you believe them?

@jhpeter @lo266 I really could care less about the performance of the two systems. It just drives me crazy to hear people claiming the cloud will make the Xbox all-powerful.
