@rasterror @lo266 @M3o5nster @KingOfAsia It was just out of context is all. From a consumer standpoint, what benefit is there to you that one system has generated more profit than the other? It comes off as fanboy-ish when you bring up a point that isn't relevant to the discussion without backing it up. If you had said, for instance, that because MS has earned a larger profit, it can invest more into its platform then I could understand (although even that point is debatable). Just saying.

@rasterror @M3o5nster @KingOfAsia What is the point of profits in response to comments about reasons to buy one console over another or which had more sales? No one said anything about one being more profitable than the other... Seems like you can't help but try to find a reason to cheer Xbox.

@funktacious @EL_Bomberdor MS gets a royalty for each new game sold so they definitely had a vested interest in blocking used games. Don't be foolish.

@malokevi @lo266 Sounds like you have the ideal setup for using it but I still think you're being overly optimistic.

While latency is improved, it's still not where it would need to be for core gaming use cases where timing is critical. There are some demos that show the problem still exists.

The one thing that sealed it for me was the fact that Crytek changed Ryse from using Kinect to control the character to not using it for that purpose. That should tell you they couldn't make it work all that well.

@malokevi The Kinect on 360 is pretty much useless as an input device for games and from what they've shown of the new version, things won't really be much better.

Forget the latency issue for now. What about ambient noise and movement while playing? I have to make sure no one walks in front of the camera or stands behind me. I also now have to give people a set of restricted words or phrases for each game I play. Can you imagine? "Please don't say the following while I play..."

And do you really want to use Kinect for chatting while playing? It will pick up everyone in the room and you'll probably have feedback since the camera will be close to the audio from the game. It's really a waste unless they truly figure out a way to make it seem useful.

@Fuzzymee @lo266 @Grenadeh @zemc77 I didn't mean that exact scenario happens all the time but, rather, the enemy blatantly disregards teammates in plain sight as if they were not there. That happens all the time.

@talkcasual @lo266 The production values are some of the best in video games - there's no denying that. But when you look at the tension the game tries to create and how often that goes right out the window because of the failed AI, it really detracts from the core theme of the game.

I can understand some giving it a 9, but I can't justify it myself. It's a game at the end of the day and when the gameplay portion falls short, it kills me.
