Funny how these kids who didn't even know what resolution and frame rate meant a year ago now think it's all that matters. Are Uncharted and Last of Us crappy games because they didn't run at 1080p (and Last of Us had serious frame rate problems)? You are playing these games on the same TV that your PS3 is hooked up to right?
There's a reason several PS4 games needed a patch to run at 1080p. The developers made the decision that running at a lower resolution allowed them to utilize other graphical options which made the game look better, but Sony marketing pressured them to scrap that and accept a lower frame rate so they could check off the 1080p box. Sony boxed themselves into a corner with all this 1080p nonsense and it's already creating issues. Graphics are about far more than just resolution. Let the developers decide what's best for the game they're creating - not a marketing department.
What a shame. I was really looking forward to this one as I'm a big fan of Panzer Dragoon Orta. Oh well, the good news is that this will probably be one of the first free Games with Gold games for X-box One. :)
@prats93 It's sad how easily manipulated Sony fanboys are. Don't you realize that the reason several PS4 games needed a patch to run at 1080p was because the developers knew that those games should have run at 720-900p (just like the One), but Sony pressured them to run at 1080p despite messing up the framerate, so their marketers would have that checkbox to manipulate you kids who don't even understand what that means in context?
@2leetchisgod2 Sony has made the mistake of allowing marketing to make game design decisions. They are forcing all first party, and pressuring all third-party developers, to run at 1080p - even if that results in an unstable framerate and to reduce other graphical improvements (increased AA, etc.) - simply so they can claim bragging rights on having more 1080p games on their marketing checklist.
