@Th4R It will shatter their misguided sense of superiority to admit they bought Sony's lies hook, line and sinker. Both systems are based off of 5 year old PC technology and neither is a powerhouse - but only Sony foolishly embarked on a massive PR campaign claiming 1080p/60fps was the baseline for true next gen. Disingenuously not telling their fans that the PS4 would struggle to hit that for most games (including Sony's own first party titles).
I have both systems (and the WiiU) and they both have their merits, but neither should be pushing graphics specs as a major selling point in a world where a $750 PC can run circles around them.
These videos are completely useless. If the point is something other than generating page hits from fanboys, Gamespot should do an actual technical analysis like Digital Foundry where they indicate if graphical settings are different from one version (Console A has 2X AA, Console B has 6X, etc.) to another and verifying frame rate performance, etc.
@Bullfluga They also launched Madden 15 and FIFA 15 recently and both are exceptionally good releases of those franchises. Massive publishers will have their share of duds.
I'm enjoying it more than VanOrd's score reflects, but I respect his opinion and his criticisms seem to be fair from what I've played so far. I'm glad that Gamespot didn't let all the Activision/Sony ad revenue influence their review process.
@eternaldragoonx Agreed. Halo Wars showed how an RTS designed from the ground up could work on a console. It's true that a traditional RTS ported to consoles is a disaster, but that doesn't mean you can't make a fun RTS on a console at all.
Add in Kinect voice commands and many of the traditional hurdles can be overcome.
How depressing. Sony just admitted that the Vita they sold me as the device that would play AAA games is being abandoned by them and just becoming a 2D indie port machine (and with overpriced indies at that). Thanks, Sony.
