@gamerboy100 Great. Hoping you follow up with five reasons why you are never going to post on Gamespot ever again. Seriously.

@zimerust105 Golly, I own a console so I am going to get mad at the stranger who called me an idiot! Or not. Enjoy the 6th grade and make sure not to click those ads that pop up or your parents will get mad when the PC gets a virus.

@alpha_unit97 The comment above was sarcasm, as was my entire first paragraph. I thought that was obvious.

I agree the original is not always better. My point is that it isn't always worse either, just because it is different. How about we wait until the game comes out, play it, and then decide? Yeah, I know that is a radical concept...

@heresmyopinion These characters came out way before Metal Gear (Firefly was in the 1950s), so if you want to go with that narrative, MG copied Batman.

Can we get some more comments and dialog going on the voice acting? Those are some really great points being brought up below, because obviously this game will be terrible if the voices don't match exactly what I expect it to be in my head, and there is no way the game will overcome this preconception after say, 30 seconds of game play. This is why all the Christian Bale Batman movies sucked- Michael Keaton is the only real Batman. Daniel Craig is terrible, as are all his movies because he isn't Sean Connery. Someone tell Mark Hamill to stick to Luke Skywalker, because if it ain't Cesar Romero, then it isn't the real Joker and is crap.

Quit your damn whining about the voice acting. Get over it already. I know when you are 15 (or 29) and have only lived in your mom's basement your entire life, you feel like nothing can ever change, but it is okay. Change is good. Life goes on.

@The_gamer_17 Try taking 30 seconds first to learn about the topic you want to rant on (read the article that discussed your very points), or acknowledge you haven't played the game yet and don't know either way. It is a good approach to take in other facets of your life as well.

@udubdawgz @Sardinar Plenty of money to be made in putting out a good stealth game.

Dear Gamespot: When assigning stories, give them to people who actually enjoy the genre and know something about the game's history. It would be akin to having me do reviews of Euro Soccer... I don't watch it, so having me do a piece reviewing Manchester v. Arsenal (not sure I have that right, as I don't watch it) would not only be a waste of everyone's time and boring but insulting to those who enjoy it. Splinter Cell is a pretty big franchise; surely you can find someone at Gamespot who enjoys it and can provide some value instead of constantly qualifying every comment with: "Again, I don't really care for stealth or know crap about it, but...."

@amdreallyfast I think you meant well with this comment, but it comes off a bit silly... quitting gaming is not an "extreme" decision point to be cautious about, if one wants to go that route. A good game with friends in the same room has value too... try it sometime.

@biggest_loser I was thinking the same thing of your comments. Maybe there is a way everyone can win here.
