It's 3 vs 3 vs 2. Check out the new multiplayer mode in this latest trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins.
Did you enjoy this video?
Looks great and fun multilayer.
Amazing game and a great addition for Wii U. Really dont care for the lack of multiplayer.
I want it
So sick of multiplayer turning up in everything. I AM LONELY AND I LIKE IT, stop making me deal with people.
why they dont understand?every game doesnt need to have multiplayer ....i need deeper story and combats ... I'll never buy batman for multilayer while there are some games like battlefield that are gods in this case...but in batman it wastes the enegry that would be used in campaign.....
warner bros is dropping CBS! A major cable channel what hope does the quality of this game have? A 7.5 watered down game at best.
Also, the entire game will be watered down...even the challenge maps and the harder difficulties will not really be what rocksteady created which was an awesome game of the year.
Ewwww I hope this doesn't turn into "a cancerous growth" like the spec ops 2 multiplayer. It's really a tragedy when corporations take away games from the developers that invented them because of greed. Corporations do not care about making good product (which will make money) only about how much they can cram into their selfish pockets to make their shareholders happy its disgusting. They all know we will rush to buy it and will overly spend (rather then put that money into the quality of the game) to pull younger gamers to buy it. Expect commercials to dub step around release time (gag) and a "too easy" or "watered down" version of this game. The multiplayer will also be very superficial (not a lot of customization) and will get boring in the first month and a half of playing it and probably unbalanced. Everyone here is smarter then this and I would wait alittle for the price to drop before getting a copy but I know better.
This multiplayer looks awesome!
This game just got really interesting I might pre-order this game very soon.
the funny part is that i got a beta invite but when i click the link it
says "email address already used or you did not receive an invite"....
this is disheartening :(
Can't wait to play this on the Wii U.....oh wait. Just kidding though seriously if this multiplayer is actually crap and the Wii U has a better framerate and visuals, I'll get that for the off TV play and gamepad stuff or the PC version if the Wii U version looks like the Xbox and PS3 versions..
they should have added 3 heroes, batman, robin and nightwing
lol even robin looks like he has the same animations and combat moves from arkham city i love the arkham games but this just seems lazy to me not looking forward to performing the same old takedowns and counters
more or less
What's the point of multiplayer modes? I mean sure you could kick around some mobster's, but if you are batman you automatically win. Yet, Batman has to work with Robin so maybe it equalizes it a bit. Still hyped
Now this is different. You know, for the longest time it seemed as if multiplayer modes have been set to be in a shooter like fashion forever. Sure, you can add new weapons or vehicles, but the basic idea is the same. This, while having shooter elements, seems to add it's own spin on mulitplayer and I'm honestly excited of the possibilities of new kinds of multiplayer that don't just invole Call of Duty like modes.
Just clarifying because people still don't seem to get it...
So, based on the video it looks like the 3 versus 3 is Joker, Bane and henchman on one side? Against Batman, Robin and some anonymous cop on the other side? I'm guessing whoever gets the lowest score has to spend the next round as the cop or henchman. Perhaps my eyes are just failing me but I didn't see any notable 3rd character on the good or the bad side. I don't think that is necessarily a bad idea, but I am kind of wondering if that is waht you all saw as well?
Sad for Wii U owners... This game feature is removed due to lack of audience...
Interesting concept. Definitely will keep an eye on in it.
To the people who are dissing the multiplayer, geez don't play it then. It's not destroying the game just because there's an extra option on the selection screen.
Reminds me of Splinter cells MP only with a Batman twist, not a fan of MP but this looks quite interesting, think ill keep my eye on it.
From what I have read and seen from many different videos and interviews it looks like the single player portion of this game is going to be more or less just like the two Rocksteady games. As for people thinking it's going to be more, arcadey, I fail to see any basis for that poor assumption. If anything it looks to be less arcadey than the first two, with a stronger bases on Batmans detective work and even deeper combat with enemies that can now counter Batman.
As far as the multiplayer goes it's impossible to say weather it will be good or bad at this point, unless of course your the weak minded kind of person who has to quickly make assumptions from watching one video. It all comes down to the mechanics. I almost never play the multiplayer portions of games. I'm much more interested in story above anything else. However in my opinion the concept for the multiplayer does seem interesting. The idea to have it be 3 vs 3 vs 2 sounds compelling to me. It all comes down to if the gameplay is fun and as of right now it's just to early to say. However that wont stop the more childish of people from saying whatever first enters their mind with little to no actual reason for their assumption.
I am completely against the idea that every game needs to have multiplayer and if that is in fact the only reason they are making this mode than that's too bad. However if the development team came up with the idea and generally thought it sounded cool, like it might be fun, then good for them. Only time will tell.
Another Batman game... But, Why the Joker looks like a clown! Too much make up... haha
THIS GAME SUCKS.............. WORST GRAPHICS COMPARED TO ROCK STEADY AND THE MOVMENT SEEMS FAKE
Weird, I don't mind having multiplayer in the game and all, but I just have a really really bad feeling that these new developers just totally suck.. I just view them as children who don't really know what they're doing but as long as it's "cool and awesome" then it's okay..
Other then that, the effects look terrible... just terrible. ruining the whole amazing graphics that Rocksteady created. and the characters and animations look bad aswell. they made this game look and probably feel much more arcady.
Why is Batman in this new call of duty game? Weird.
I don't get how this is going to work so i wont say anything, AC multiplayer worked out well so who knows?
I will probably give this a try, but it won't be something that sticks with me.
OH joy...yet another game that HAS to have multiplayer in it...sigh.
who the fuck wants to shoot batman? I want to be batman all the time,
even now in my housecoat
if we pre-order, do we get to play deathstroke in multiplayer?!
I'm not lonely, but I hear ya about dealing with people. Games are me time not we time. If I want to play with someone else I'll play a Lego game with my daughter.
@hishamramzan $10 says that Penguin, Black Mask and more will be DLC bosses with their own mercs. They probably won't tamper with the 8 player limit in a match though.
@hishamramzan if you think those are even teams you must be a marvel fan
@The_gamer_17 Try taking 30 seconds first to learn about the topic you want to rant on (read the article that discussed your very points), or acknowledge you haven't played the game yet and don't know either way. It is a good approach to take in other facets of your life as well.
@The_gamer_17 Carolyn Petit wrote an article on her experience demoing the multiplayer mode and confirmed that, although it may seem like Batman and Robin are the automatic winners of each match, that is not the case. For example, it only takes a few bullets from a henchman to kill either Batman or Robin, so it is definitely balanced out.
@9Dguy Unless you're a Wii U owner like me and then you don't get the choice of multiplayer and you're probably going to be charged full price for the game.
@Fire_Wa11 from my understanding, it is a group of 3 henchmen vs. another group of 3 henchmen. Each group has an allegiance to either Bane or Joker. These two groups are fighting each other in whatever way grants points in the multiplayer. I've heard that after a person does certain things, they get the choice to play as Joker or Bane (it may be like Star Wars Battlefront in that manner, but i have no clue).
At the same time as these two groups are brawling, a team of two plays as Batman and Robin. They somehow accumulate "intimidation points" and if they get enough, they win. Both the gangs can kill batman and robin, and they will respawn just like any other multiplayer game. I've found all of my information by researching whats been released about this multiplayer.
@Sharkspawn80 I hope it fails on the Wii U format.
@1valiantknight finally someone with some sense
@afwazrehman Idk what your looking at, but the graphics are identical, if not slightly better than Arkham City. The movement all looks the same as the other games too. This game uses the same engine as the others
@afwazrehman how is the graphics an movement fake?? its the same exact engine the other games used.they didnt make this from scratch buddy...
@afwazrehman This comment and the way it's written pretty much shows why gamers are never taken seriously. It's so sad.
@Armyboy5 I agree with the the terrible graphics, but what i've noticed is its only in the multiplayer. The single player mode looks fantastic, and thats what everyone will be buying this game for anyway. The multiplayer does seem interesting though.
Edit: I mean effects not graphics.
@T-Sub96 I believe so, look on another trailer for this game..
@goldglover1025 @hishamramzan well i am a fan of both, and i am saying add 3 heroes and add more criminals and then it will be more fun
@jprspecops @The_gamer_17 I wonder if Batman and Robin are able to hide at all. In AA and AC when I was standing on gargoyles I was often thinking that everyone should be able to see me. The same with grates.
Maybe here we actually need to hide and peek around corners. And count on Joker and Bane thugs being too involved with each other.
