-shrugs- whatever, I'm in love with my samsung tablet and whenever i have to replace it I'll probably get one of the lenovo convertibles. I've got a thinkpad w520 that's by far the best laptop i've ever had, not so sure about their tablets but def. will be looking into them when the time comes
I've heard very mixed review of win 8 and I'm waiting it out a little. Right now I have a Win7 / Ubuntu dual-boot. Use the Win side for animation/graphic programs (which technically I could run with Wine but I had driver and performance issues) and Ubuntu for everything else. linux has a learning curve but once you get past it you really grow to appreciate how well it runs. and no more viruses. maybe in the future I'll switch to linux only but it's too soon to say
@dmactheballer56 @emvv Yeah, it'd be awesome to put in our own music. Maybe in the next console era. For V I'll just be happy if they have some death metal or decent heavy metal. Maybesome classic rock like Pink Floyd, that'd be great
@billlabowski @sugi-pula well jeeze, thanks for making me feel old. I still remember when the original splinter cell came out and playing hookie from high school physics for it
I think you're probably right that things are heading in an all-in-1 direction which I really don't particularly want because then if the device fails you loose ALL the functions. It's kinda like when people ask me why I have a cellphone, tablet, camera, and MP3 when I could easily just have 1 device that does it all. Because sometimes when I travel I don't want to take a valuable item w/ me and if my $65 camera gets ripped off or broken it's not going to break my heart. Or if I want to hear some music but my phone's out of batteries than that just sucks.
Sony tried to do something similar with linux on the ps3 but they sure backpedaled away from that one fast. shame too, linux's has a learning curve but once I got past it, its very reliable
