Burnout is great if you have a NVIDIA card. The game has major issues on ATI cards that are still not fixed like full on system crashes and no dynamic shadows reflectiing on cars+ enviroments.

It actually runs better on ATI

Too bad. I would have bought BC2 if it was maybe 50% off. But I'm not that interested to buy it at only 33% off.

This is strange. Today I've had issues with my computer temporarily locking while gaming and I get a message stating that "ATI drivers have stopped responding and have successfully recovered" after the game I was playing closes. So far I've really only played Crysis, but it as happened while I was watching a video. I've never had this issue before and curiously I just downloaded a Windows 7 update last night. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? Has anybody else had any issues?

Had it, i even swapped 3 gpus and still had it, it seems one of my ram sticks failed, pretty confusing since it gave the display driver error. Check your ram and see if it helps.

i posted up 2 post already about the new 5770 i got a few days back for my new build. well i said that the card was making my system to crash and pop a blue screen saying that windows was shut down to pervent any damage to the system and i couldnt reboot and load up win7 again.

well i took out my 5770 and out in my old 8600GT it loaded windows up and i was able to use my PC again. still having teh ATI drivers and control program on the PC.

and still my PC was crashing i was able to run the windows boot repair.

but then when i loaded windows again i uninstall all ATI drivers from my PC and install the 8600GT drivers.

ever since my PC is working fine no problem.

so my conclusion is the newest ATI driver and teh card was carshing my system. does anyone know why? or is there a problem with the new ATI drivers for teh 5770?

unless my PC dont like ATI cards :P

I had that problem before, not just with ATI, it might be your ram, try checking a stick at a time and see if it crashes.

Maybe they really canceled portal 2 so they can actually announce EP3 with the portal gun.

It seems for some cards the idle clocks differ now. I have a 5870 and it idles the same at 35 degrees, clocks 157/300.

Me and some of my friends got left 4 dead 2 on this site www.g2play.net its 20 bucks I think.

they sell you a key, which you activate in steam, also be careful and look for Left 4 Dead 2 uncut version, the cut version is cheaper but i dont think they wrote its cut. So infact Left 4 Dead 2 (cut version) and Left 4 Dead 2 Uncut (uncut version)

not sure if this interests you, but here's a poll about Fermi by TechPowerUp:

I know a lot of people are disappointed in the 4xx series, myself included. I didn't know that many people would dismiss the new Nvidia series.

I am wondering how much ATI has taken up the martket since their 4xxx series.

Most of my friends switched to ATI and they have been Nvidia users till the 4xxx series.
