Retiring my Samsung 720p HDTV i bought back in 2006 and don't want to be stuck playing games on my 23" 1080p IPS monitor. Any suggestions for a brand and exact model? Preferably the cost must be $800 and under. I heard Plasma are pretty good these days, can i get a quality one for the price? and is it worth it?

Hi, I have a Panasonic 50" GT60, Everythink looks great especially in motion compared to LCD and the blacks are great, I use it as a monitor for my PC and for the ps3, had it for about 6 months, no image retention so far, i even coded for 5 hours straight using an IDE and it was static, no image retention even then. There is only one issue with it, it doesnt have a display port so 3D is FullHD at 24Hz, maybe if a new HDMI cable comes along then it can support 1080P 3D at 60hz. I saw that AMD graphics card support this with a technology called framepacking so that means 1080P 3D at 60hz with the HDMI cable. The GT model and higher have great response time 20 ms or so, but the ST has 43 or so.

I have an Asrock the P67 Extreme 4, been running 2.5 years without incident (just saying because you are looking at Asrock).

I would recommend a full sized motherboard. The reason I say this is depending on the lay out a large GPU or heat sink could block necessary slots. For example a large heat sink may block ram slots or a GPU could block SATA ports that you need.

If you are building a sub compact style of tower than sure go micro atx but if you are getting a regular sized case and you just want to save a few bucks it's totally not worth it.

Hi my budget is 100 euros, and the Asrock Z77 Extreme4 non M version seems to be the cheapest from all the boards, and it seems its the only one on stock and i can get it right now. So i think i will go with this. Thank you guys.

Hi,

I just recently got a i7 2600k and I need a good motherboard to go with it. I plan on overclocking it to 4.6-4.8 ghz maybe?

Can someone please recommend me a best price performance board?

I saw in my store that they have Asrock Z77 Extreme4-M (Micro ATX) and MSI Z77A-GD55.

Does anyone have any experience with these boards? Maybe someone can give me other suggestions.

Thanks

[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Price doesn't change a single thing,it's digital. Signal or no signal_SKatEDiRt_

Exactly this. I laugh when Im at best buy and see a $200 monster hdmi cable in someones cart.

It is different in some cases, for example some support fullHD 3D and some dont. Some support 4K resolution and some dont.

Read the input lag on this thing was bad, but I was wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with this tv.  Is it really that bad or doable?

Chutebox

I ended up getting the Panasonic 50GT60 and the lag is non existant, i think its 20ms compared to 50-60 on the st60, i was lucky since it has the same input lag as the VT65/VT60 and ZT65/ZT60. And they had the price wrong. I got the 50" version for 1100 euros or 1450 dollars.

I was intrigued that I was able to access my school notes on an Iphone with 3G networking. However I don't want a phone nor an overpriced Apple product. Then I look at the vita and thought it was a great alternative. So I ask those who invested in the 3G model:

-is the browser decent at least? I don't need a fast connection but I don't want it ridiculously slow either.

-what does the 256mb or 5 gb plan mean and why is the latter more expensive? Is it just a faster connection?

-how steady is the connection? Can you lose it occasionally? (I don't know much about 3G networking so that's why I'm asking)

-is $15 a month (256mb plan) a reasonable price or not?

-just for fun, what else could you do with it? I'm assuming you have constant access to your frient lists and online leaderboards and online gaming is out of the question.

In essence, I want the convenience of a small 3G networking device to benefit me in school. The vita is just an option. Plus I like Sony platforms however I don't see any must have games for the Vita yet but I trust it will acquire some eventually. If anyone else has any better options, let me know please.

I have the 3G version, and I have an unlimited plan free of charge, it comes with my home network which is 7 euros per month, the internet is fast, i can watch Youtube HD videos with no stuttering. There is a problem with it though its really limited, it cant access files larger than 20MB which is rediculous , also cant even game with 3G even if its really fast like in my case. I have signal everywhere i go.
