A very weird question but here goes. Why do I feel like not wanting to play Uncharted 2 after just getting it today? I've found out that the game has 26 chapters and am just on chapter 3, but now I feel like the game's ruined, but I don't know the main plot. Any thoughts? Does this class as a Spoiler?

If you feel this way & you're at chapter 3, I don't think the game is for you.Since simply knowing the total qty of levels is dampening the experience, the rest of the game will be a let down. I'd move on to a different game if I was you.

Uncharted 1 does not have as much polish as Uncharted 2, but I actually prefer 1. Even though I know 2 is a better overall game, I like the harderdifficulty of 1 better.

IGN and Gamespot both gave the game stunning reviews. And a lot of people seemed to like it. The others just seemed to consider it an abomination. Do they think it's a bad game overall or just a bad game compared to the rest of the games in the series?

I like the Metal Gear games, but MGS4 had tooooooooooooooo long cut scenes. I appreciate good story telling in a video game (sometimes it's the best part of a game), but when there's 20 min of cut scene & 5 min of game play I get bored quick (especially considering the complexity & convolutedness of the Metal Gear story lines).

First I tried Valor, meh, it was alright.

Next I played Sver for awhile, meh, not much better.

Then I played Raven for a bit, meh, a little different but not a lot.

I went back to Valor, not sure why. The weapons or teamwork aren't better, Valor just seemed to compliment my play style.

I do recommend trying each faction for a bit, they aren't worlds apart, but there are definite subtle differences.

Good luckwith your choice & game on!

Warhawk! Warhawk!! Warhawk!!!

I didn't miss PSN (online gaming)as much as I thought I would. And my main concerns regarding the outagehave always been my favorite 2 online games, Warhawk & MAG. Since these games don't have any offline campaign& they are both a little older, I thought the outage might kill their popularity. As soon as Ifinished changing my password& loading/installing the new firmware, I loaded upWarhawk & got my game on. And it was ablast, as always. Tonight, after the wife & kids go to sleep, I'll load-up & play MAG into the wee hours of the morning. I have no doubt it will not disappoint. And for the next couple weeks (or maybe months) I will alternate my late night gaming between Warhawk & MAG. I learned one important thing from the PSN outage, certain video game experiences just feel more fleeting than others. Not to say that all enjoyment of playing video game isn't transient (what in life isn't),but playing an online only video game just feels more like watching a falling star,it's an almost magical experiencethat is over too soon.

I rang "GAME" (UK retailer), and they said they would give me £75 for my 80gb... even though Ive seen it in their for £169.99! I should have asked if it was because of this outage... I have a feeling it is! im annoyed because I only got the damn thing a week ago! I dont want it to lose its value

3DSTICKMAN

It lost value because it is used (you buying it causes the lost value). They are offering less because they need to make a profit. If they don't make profits they can't pay employees, pay location rental, pay utilities & go out of business.

A common misconception is that material items hold their value when purchased. They do not, used item Ais worth less than new item A(collectibles, antiques & real estatebeing a fewexceptions). A common rule of value (for regular personal belonings) is if new item A is worth 100%, then used item A is worth 50%.

Don't get me wrong, people (dumb) quite often overpay for a used item, but businesses (like "Game") usually don't overpay because buying & selling is their livelihood. My suggestion, find a dense person willing to overpay for your lighty used console.

Hey guys, so obviously there is a sticky, but I am hoping the forum mods will let this one pass, just because I think this is something a lot of PSN users will want to voice their opinions on and it can't really be done in the mass sticky thread. If not, I'm sure they will lock it.

Anyway, so the main question on my mind is simple... will I be done with PS3 regardless of what happens next? Well honestly, I see to see what happens over the next week to really decide if I will be done with my PS3. They have a lot of great exclusives, and I have always loved their consoles, but at the same time, I do NOT approve of how they have been handling this situation, and honestly, this is our worst fears come to pass, because the hacker(s) basically got everything

So I don't want to take a long time drawing this out just in case it gets closed, so lets just finish up and get the poll started:

Are you going to be done with Sony when all of this is over?

Essian

I like my PS3, I enjoy the games & I think the system is an excellent value (cost of system/services/games compared to entertainment/fun-factor).

I will not get rid of my PS3 because PSN got hacked. That is like canceling all my credit cards because my account info got stolen on one (which did happen). Theft & hacking happens, it is a fact (part of life). PSN & my PS3 do not have my credit card info because of this fact.

What, specifically, do you not like about the way Sony handled this? I am not asking to be a jerk, I am truly curious. Do you not like that: PSN access is free, Sony downed PSN as soon as intrusion was detected, Sony is rebuilding/fixing PSN immediately at their own cost (free to consumers), Sony did not release details about intrusion until they could confirm details about intrusion, free PSN has been down for about a week.

[QUOTE="claytonjoseph"]

I took me awhile to get into Resistance 1,longer than it takes me to get into most games. Then I loved it, not exactly sure why. Cool variety of enemies, enemies that take tons of ammo to take down, good graphics, good sound, plenty of environment variety, ample gun variety & very fun to play. Meh, who knows why it's considered a good game.

It sounds to me like you are internally measuring Resistance 1 against a different game you truly like, a game you haven't mentioned. I wouldn't be surprised if the game you aren't mentioning is a 360 game, & you are a regular commentor in system wars, & this is your attempt a starting a little cross-forum drama.

Maybe you just need to play Resistance 1 a little longer, or maybe you just don't like it. But seems a little odd you would start a discussion about something you don't like, inviting people to either side with or disagree with you (drama).

WasacreOL

Nah I'm not man. I havent tried much shooters when R1 came out but that was one of the few games that never really kept me going. I'm sorry if I may seem to look like a troll. I'm just stating my opinion and wondering if others feel the same way..

Not calling you a troll, was just kidding (system wars/drama comment). Thought my unfounded leap of assumption might make you laugh (absurd statements make me laugh). People always tell me I'm not funny, but I ignorethat & keep trying to be. Sorry you don't dig Resistance 1, it took me almost 2 levels to appreciate it.
