@pizzamuncher That's not how patents work. You can invent the same concept completely independently and still be sued because someone else was first to file the patent. (provided your technology operates in the same way)
Kickstarter places all the financial risk with the people donating, I don't believe the person funded is under any obligation to deliver. Seems a misuse of Kickstarter when it's used by someone:
a) Already well known in the industry b) Reportedly extremely wealthy
If he genuinely believes in the project, he should either fund it himself or ask for investment via a traditional route.
That's a shame, I only buy games if they have microtransactions, nothing I like more. Except maybe single-player titles which require network connectivity like SimCity, that's great too!
Good price for the console, but I'm waiting to find out the PS4 launch price at the moment. I'm sure I'll pick up a Wii U at some point, once some good JRPGs have been released for it (or the new X title)
I'm pleased it never happened. Sega are still making and publishing great games, while any company that gets sucked into the Borg Collective has a bad time *cough*Rare*cough*
Games with real charm and character like the Epic Mickey titles are worth considerably more than their Metacritic score. I think both will be remembered fondly in time.
