Hi there,

I just purchased a 3DS this past Saturday. Today, when I was playing outside, I noticed that in the glare on the sun, a very faint, but noticeable hairline crack on the top cover of the console. I have a black 3DS so the contrast against the color made it stand out. The crack isnt on the surface, because when you run your finger over it, you dont feel anything, but when you angle the console into the light, you can see its under the glossy surface. Its not affecting anything, and appears to be purely a cosmetic blemish, but now that Ive seen it, I cant unsee it. I bothers me because I just bought it not 4 days ago from Gamestop and the console is so expensive. I called the store and they said I can exchange it, but they havent seen it yet, and to be honest, you cant really see it unless its under sunlight and you try looking for it. I dont want to be one of those customers who come back and complain about the slightest imperfections, or have the staff snicker at me because Im being so picky about it.

My question: Has anyonelse had similar issues with their 3DS's? I did a quick google search and found a few issues that are similar but usually occur around the camera lense.

Ill try to post a pic later.

YES! Very worth it. Unless PSP2 will be able to emulate PS2 games, and SOny puts up PS2 classics on PS Store like they did PS1, then yeah....

Is it absolutely necessary to have finished FFX to enjoy X-2? I stopped playing FFX a few months back, about 17 hours in, and never got back ot it. Now, Im lost and not in the mood to replay the whole 17 hours again, might be due to me finding FFX kind of boring. X-2 seems alot more interesting though, with a pretty exciting battle system, so I kinda want to star that, but im worried that my enjoyment might be hindered by not having finished X.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

[QUOTE="TransformersFan"]

I need to try out Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky to see what the big deal is...

EXEraserVS

It may not be the best made RPG for the PSP, but I picked it because the game has that charm that takes me back to the good old days when JRPGs on the PSOne was flourishing.

That's what I meant by "refreshing," it doesn't feel like a contrived RPG, but feels more inspired like how JRPGs were back in the day.

Nothing like the PSX era rpgs...

Of all the PSP rpgs I gotta say that Crisis Core is my best. And not just because its in the FF7 universe, but on its own its a fun, gorgeous and well made game. FF Tactics is also amazing, although its a port so we cant count that. Dissidia is pretty good too, but hardly and RPG.

Hope that this is the right forum for this as the game specific forum is pretty inactive, but I was wondering what were some opinions and thoughts on Dirge of Cerberus. GS gave it a 6.0, but the user reviews are all over the spectrum. As a Final Fantasy fan would this be a nice addition to my collection? I read some good things about the story and cinematics, but that the gameplay was pretty mediocre. How about the locales? Do you get to revisit sme famous FF7 locations but now in updated graphics? One of my fave things in Crisis Core was visting some of the original locations from the church in the Midgar slums to Nibleheim.

So I saw this for sale at my local gamestore and i was wondering if it was worth a play?

Thanks in advance. :)

Here go's:

Gamerama at Yonge and Englinton has a whole display case with GBA games, an insane pile of cartridges. google them for their telephone number. I'd avdise just going their because the staff their doesnt know what they have in that pile except on Mondays when they apprently do an inventory. So call on Mondays or visit them. Dont be put off by their weird customer service, they have cheap prices though.

JK Hi Tech on Duffering and Bloor. I usually get my GBA from here as its on my route home. They dont have as many games as Gamerama but they do have all the best and classics GBA, FF Tactics advance, Golden Sun, Fire Emblem. I dont know their number, and its hard to google 'em. But if you to this area of the city and walk east on Bloor from Dufferin you see 'em.

Hope that helps.

So I'v been having this internal debate since I got my PSP2000 last year. For a long time, I was happy with the PSP software because I had about three years worth of games to play, including the big hits of '08 like Crisis Core and GoW. But now Im feeling the drought. I cant seem to find any games that I'd like to play (im sure there are some good games now, but none that interest me). Lately, Ive been thinking about modding my PSP, for the simple option of using PSX emulators to play old games. Ive been holding out hope that Sony would release some quality titiles on PSN, but besides Suikoden, I dont see anything I'd like. Japan has MGS1 and RE1, 2, and 3 plus some others. There's some news Capcom will release some games, but seeing the list of games that are availble on the net RIGHT NOW is tempting me. SilentHill 1, Parasite Eve, All the older PS1 Final Fantasies including Vagrant Story. So many games I missed out on, and their easily available to download (illegaly) once I take the giant leap of modding my fave handheld.

So now I turn to you. What is your opinion? Is there a risk in modding. Is it a difficult process getting these old games on my PSP? Should I wait another year for Sony, Capcom, Square Enix to finnaly tap into the potential $$$ they would make by utilizing the PSN? What should I do? Have you done it? And was it a good choice? Not right, but satisfying choice nonetheless?

Lemme know, and thanks in advance.

For the PSP? I cannot recommend Final Fantasy Tactics enough. I know it Looks difficult, but it isnt. It a challenge, but not frustratingly so. The story is amazing, and deals with issues and themes not found in many fantasy RPG's. If you've never played an final fantasy game before though, the items and leveling up strategy may be intimidating though.

If you;ve played FF VII, then I recommend Crisis Core. In itself, it's a great game, with easy to use mechanincs and controls. Side quests can be repetive, but the plot will keep up you going.

Brave Story and Star Ocean was meh, IMO.
