Yes because it essentially makes my games worthless in the resale market. People not being able to resale or trade in games = People not buying nearly as many used games as they once did. People not buying as many games = More newly released games tanking. More newly released games tanking = more studios closures.

The gaming public. The poor business practices that gamers endorsed in massive numbers this generation with their money. The Xbox One exists in its current form because Microsoft looked at what people were willing to put up with last generation. If you bought Diablo III or SimCity 4 you have no right to complain about always-on DRM. If you bought any game with an Online Pass you have no right to complain about Microsoft blocking used games. If you bought any game with on disc DLC you have no room to complain when companies keep doing it. Companies respond to the market and the market says people don't mind bending over and grabbing their ankles.famicommander

What this man sad.

I love how Xbox fanboys have basically resorted to praying the PS4 also blocks used games.

You guys remember the thread I made awhile back about Sony and MS colludiing? Watch. Sony follows this too.

We need some serious UGLY, UGLY backlash. PC gaming is looking better and better to me now. That was really the last advantage consoles had.

S0lidSnake

The problem is there hasn't been one rumor regarding Sony doing this while there were plenty of rumors doing this. EDGE was the only one who broke the news that PS4 would have 8 Gigs of RAM instead of the 4 everyone else was predicting and they were the first to break the news that MS would be blocking used games. Essentially EDGE was right about everything yet they didn't mention anything about Sony blocking used games.

If Sony were going to implement a system like this, surely we would of heard something by now.

Sony has laready stated they will leave it up to the publishers. They do have a system in place.

Err I took that to mean that they'll leave it up to publishers on whether they want to create a system. They never said they had a system in place.

Welp Kotaku has confirmation that Xbox One will block used games.

http://kotaku.com/the-xbox-is-not-al...used-509077987

Basically each game is linked to an XBL account and, if you want to link it to another account, you'll have to pay an extra fee.

Looks like I definitely won't be buying a Xbox One.

I'm not gonna lie, the voice recognition stuff looked kinda dope but I'm skeptical as to whether it'll actually work that well.

Other than that...not impressed at all. Call of Duty was nice but it's guaranteed 100% that a superior version will be on PS4. A video game/interactive tv series/whatever the **** starring a creepy little girl who can control time isn't really enough to get me excited.

I will say though, the console itself and the controller looks absolutely fantastic. Very sexy design.

The downloadable space should be full of them.

The retail niche and B-tier games that were so prominent during the PS2/PS1 days are all but dead, as skyrocketing budgets saw to that.
