Maybe Torchlight series? I would had also mentioned Path of Exile as a possible one, but that's online unfortunately. How about Diablo 2, that's definitely Diablo-stylish :D

It does indeed look interesting. What do you think guys, are you going to get this one? Whether it will subscribtion-based or not? Or some other, like ESO?

Actually, considering that a modder was able to make the game work without being online, it's only a matter of time before there are pirate copies being distributed with that fix.

Diablo 3, on the other hand, is/has been impossible to pirate because, unlike Sim City, the servers actually  are  performing necessary game functions. That's why the handful of "cracked" copies of D3 that are floating around are based on the demo/trial copy, and only have like 10% of the game content.

I won't give a pirated version to appear too long. Yeah, they may have encrypted the files that allowed this modder to make it offline, but hackers have the ability to bypass all that, that's why they are called hackers. And like you said, SimCity's servers don't actually do anything. I guess the social aspect crap, but that's all pretty much. So yeah, I'm with you on this on 100%. Maybe a month at most? I wish Maxis/EA would just give what people want, offline-mode, bigger maps etc., and I can imagine a lot of this negativy would die off, until? (and maybe even if) that happens SimCity will go down the history books as a game that ruined a perfectly working franchise.

Simcity:

So.. i here there is some issues.. How is its current state? Do they plan on patching and fixing it up? id like to get it.

SWTOR:

Anyone know if Makeb is going to be an open world planet? will it be linear like the other planets?

I haven't heard of any new developments about SImCity, you would probably know if they had done something major, from GS website for example, I'd imagine. What comes to Makeb, I think it is going to be linear like the rest, with few quests that take you around the galaxy. I read (well, skimmed more like) a preview on MMORPG.com, so you might want to check that out, if that answers any of your questions about it.

I play GW2 on an on/off basis. None of my characters (I filled all the 5 basic slots) are on particularly high level, but I do enjoy it, at least in small portions. SWTOR I'm still subscribed to, but don't know for how long, my sub runs out quite soon, and don't really know if I want to re-sub or not. At the moment, well it has been like this for few months actually, I can't get myself motivated enough to go back to it. I stopped around Christmas time, when I got some new games and said to myself, "I'll go back to this, when I've finished with these". That hasn't really happened. I have tried to play it again on few occasions, but I just don't get the feeling like; "oh, I can't wait to get back to it tomorrow". I'm thinking more in the lines of subcribing to something else, maybe ESO or something.

[QUOTE="the_bi99man"]

[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"]Hey, at least you can play it. Blizzard locked my account after it was hacked (which is interesting because my hacked account was only used a couple of times with an email and password made specifically for that account...). They want me to send them a copy of my birth certificate. :| They're still waiting on it, but I think I'll be just fine if I never play the game again.KHAndAnime

Jesus, they went that far? Last time they locked my account, I had to email them pictures of my driver's licence, sitting on top of my boxes for Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, with CD keys showing.

I bought the game digitally through their store.

Oh my goodness, that sounds absolutely crazy, in both cases. Luckily enough I won't be having that problem, because I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to play D3.

Did anyone else have, sort of towards the end, some weird deaths happening? At least I had no idea what was going on, icy place, where you landed or something, and then I think, spikes or something appeared out of the ground and just killed your character?

[QUOTE="S4E"]Just on a side note. Is anyone else getting the "damn, I'm old" feeling from this thread, even though you might not even be "that" old? :D Getting all sorts of flash backs from games that I hadn't even thought about in years.Gallowhand

Yes, I am. :(

The problem is, I probably am 'that old'. :/

Nah, I'm sure you are not :D You are cool anyway, playing games, young mind and so forth ;)

[QUOTE="S4E"]Has it been confirmed that it is only 10 hours long? That is absolutely ridiculous if it's true.Planeforger
Shouldn't people be more troubled by the fact that, even at 10-15 hours long, IGN said that the game had pacing issues and lots of filler in the middle?

Good point. How long was this game in development again?
