Hi guys, I'm about set to purchase my new computer, but I just wanted some last minute advice just in case there are better choices. Following are the parts and prices (Keep in mind I'm in Canada, so if a part/price is from Newegg, I have to use the Canadian site):

CPU:Intel Core i5 3570K Unlocked Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge ($230)

Mobo: ASRock Z77 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1155 ($180)

RAM: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B Vengeance Blue 8GB 2X4GB ($45)

GPU: ASUS GTX 670 DirectCU II 1137MHZ 2GB 6.0GHZ GDDR5 ($440)

SSD: Crucial M4 SSD Micron C400 128GB ($110)

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 32MB ($90)

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 650D ($141)

PS: Corsair Professional HX650W ($108)

CPU Cooler: Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H60 ($50)

Windows: $92

DVD Drive: $20

Grand Total: $1506

If you see any glaring issues, or better suggestions for the price, would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Currently, I have my Windows 7 OS on my HDD. I just purchased a 60gb SSD as my new boot drive. I was wondering whether there'd be any conflicting issues once I have the new OS set up on the SSD? I don't plan on formating the old HDD because I have all my applications and files on there, and will still primarily use that drive for most of my data. Will that be free of hassle assuming I set the boot-sequence to launch the SSD first?

Thanks for any help provided :)

Edit: and on that note, after I install everything, what would be the best way to remove the old OS from the HDD while retaining all the other files? Can I simply delete the Windows folder?

If you play StarCraft 2, avoid this patch version. It completely destroys the ability to play as Protoss because it does not properly display pylon power grids. I've also noticed a *dip* in frames per second by about ~15 fps on average.

How do you check for your video card's ID number?

I see. I always just assumed that the fan would auto-adjust based on the load it was under. But I changed it to 35% locked right now, and it's pretty inaudible. Thanks for your response :)

Hey guys, I just purchased an XFX 6850 and upon installing it and the Catalyst 10.10 drivers, the video card fan spun up to 73% after the system restart. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers, but didn't solve anything. ATI Overdrive is not on, and nothing has been changed. The GPU is only at around 35 degrees celcius, so it's not as if the fan is trying to compensate for any heat. The only way I can lower the fan speed is to manually turn on overdrive/manual fan and set it down to something like 30%. I've never had this issue in the past with my other card, what could be happening?

Thanks for any advice and suggestions.

Sorry, just in case my last post edit wasn't seen:

Doesn't the 1gb 460 and the 6850 basically trade blows depending on the game, and by a couple FPS at most? From Newegg.ca/Ncix.ca (the two cheapest Canadian sites I have access to), the xfx 6850 is $200 whereas the evga 1gb 460 is $212.

Ah, thanks for the other reviews guys. Appreciate all the replies :)

And as for the 1gb 460, isn't it basically on-par with the 6850 (and same price at newegg).
