[QUOTE="Dark_man123"]

You wanna know the ironic thing about this thread, the same crap was said about the Xbox 360 in 2005, I remember fan-boys saying how the ps3 was 2 times more powerful than the Xbox 360 but was that difference shown in games? lets wait for e3 for an official announcement on these machines people.

Vari3ty

Problem with the PS3 is the Cell architecture held developers back. The PS4 isn't going to have that bottleneck anymore.

What bottlenecked the PS3 was the RAM and the RSX. If it wasn't for the Cell, the PS3 would've been left behind by the 360 which had a far better GPU and a unified RAM pool.

Sony have learned their lesson from the idiocy of Kuturagi and are looking to have the better console this time around.

With Vita sales as bad as they are, developers are too scared to climb aboard. After Killzone and Soul Sacrifice, that will be pretty much it.

An A10? Doesn't sound good, but then I guess it's to be expected with a company that's under financial stress.

I actually think Sony is going to discontinue the product and merge their handheld business with their smart device department.

I did say this was a possibility way back, but now it's getting more and more likely.

SuperFlakeman

I'm sure that has been Sony's plan for a while, assuming they're not stupid and actually expect to discontinue the Vita.

[QUOTE="clyde46"]

AMD can only do so much when Intel uses underhanded tactics to strong arm OEM's to use Intel CPU's. GD1551

While that's true, they really should have scrapped bulldozer and tried something else. After all those delays, who couldn't see disappointment coming? Obviously the whole bulldozer fiasco has them in the red, I think it would have made more sense to pull out than release a product they knew would look terrible.

You've gotta be kidding me. They spent so much money on Bulldozer, scrapping it at the last second would only make things worse for them. It wasn't until late in the development that they realised Bulldozer would suck. At least with a few loyal AMD fans buying Bulldozer processors they could make at least some revenue. AMD are a small company and they need revenue.

Only because it was the same price as the 3DS. $250 is $100 too much still.

Yes to next Xbox, no to PS4.
