I'm a little confused by this... Have they merged the VRAM of the GPU and the system RAM into one thing? The article states that's it's GDDR5 RAM which is VRAM.... If it is VRAM then 4.5-5.5 GB is ridiculously large. Playing PC games on a 1440p screen on max settings rarely requires more than 2GB VRAM unless you're going for huge amounts of AA (which if PS4 games run at 1080p won't be necessary on most normal TVs).
Been so excited about this game, and all I get are poor questions and insults from the interviewer. "Don't you think you're releasing too close to the big games?", "So in previous games the AI was poor"... Ummm..... "Where were the Elephants, you promised elephants"... really? Terrible interview, should have been done better for such a big release. Thoroughly disappointed.
@Emerald_Scott Don't worry mate, I'm a really cautious person by nature, so on paper the Souls games aren't for me. However, both have been my favourite games of the decade. Just take it super slow and grind till you find each stage super easy!
Was hoping for something similar to Dungeon Defenders. A little bit disappointed with what they've shown here. Looks like a mediocre isometric dungeon crawler.
For me, I'm currently more interested in the PS4, but it's really down to which one has the most processing power. Neither have released specs yet, so it's hard to say which system will have the best graphics. Graphics are all I care about in a new gen of gaming consoles (I certainly don't care about all these social features..... nor freaking sports channels!). Also, if either of these consoles doesn't play 100% of its games in 1080p then I will not bother buying it.
I'm a BF3 fan/player like many here, but played ARMA 2 a little back in the day. I bought the A3 alpha and love it to bits. It's in a different genre to BF3 but it 'IS' a game. I hate it when people say it's a simulator... It's not a bleeding simulator, it's a game 100%. It's a realistic shooter but not a simulator. And dang, is it a good shooter. I recommend it to anyone to try it out. It's an acquired taste, but worth it. It's a bit like that sniper game set in WW2, its name eludes me at the moment, it felt intolerably slow at first, but once you got into it, it was fantastic. Same goes for ARMA really.
