Sorry but this is going to get shut down like the Cease and Desist of MERP. They're calling it a "gameplay reveal" of a "remake", and in this video it sounds like they're using the music from the originals. They've even got a name for their "company". They're treating this as if they're not the equivalent of modders and as if this is their own IP and product. They're being too cocky and vocal. As a huge KOTOR fan I want this so bad, but I can not see this surviving much longer as exposure starts to increase and Disney look to protect their property during the release of multiple films, the hype from which they'll want to capitalise on without the competition of people using their IP. Hate to say it, but it's true. Don't hate on me...
Good interview, putting people on edge and asking the tough questions. Often interviews can end up just being marketing for the game/company, but it's refreshing to see an interview where decent questions are asked, and questions we actually want the answers to.
@nickpeck36: Agreed. Each to their own. Many people will prefer the original trilogy and even if that's largely down to nostalgia, who am I to say otherwise? I personally enjoyed episodes 1-3 more (2 or 3 being my favourite) but I get why people like the others. I know that I'm going to be exactly the same in 10-20 years time when people laugh at the Lord of the Rings trilogy and I defiantly challenge them and defend what I will invariably call 'the greatest film of all time!' hahaha. I do it now with kids who say they prefer the Hobbit trilogy.
Jar jar binks is an insufferable character but in a funny kind of way I enjoyed hating him so much, I liked it,
Have to agree with SexyJazzCat, the original trilogy was weaker than the newer ones in many regards. Obviously though in the newer trilogy we had to bear the terrible acting of Anakin Skywalker.
For me it was the graphics/art style. They felt too cartoony so I couldn't get it into it. The animations & character proportions felt incredibly Fable-esque which just didn't work for it here in my opinion. Not was I was looking for in an Elder Scrolls MMO.
Pissed about the dropping of video downloads. My Internet is crap and can't stream in 360p so I normally leave all my GS videos to download in hd over night.... I guess I'll have to stick to articles only on GS.
