I hope they innovate on this one and try something different. A reskinned version of Dark Souls, as much as I adore the franchise, would seem like a bit of a missed opportunity with this potentially cool new IP.
Good for both of them, it should work wonders for their careers. Also, good luck because a load of angry gamers are about to descend on them, nitpicking every discrepency between these poor people and the vision in their heads of what they should look like.
@Terminator95:It's an EU regulation that's coming in. Even though it affects what I do and I have to comply with it for my business, I'm a big fan of it. Pretty much all information that can be collected from you behind your back not only has to be stored in certain ways, but has to be authorised by you directly. E.g. if a company collected your email and started sending you offers, they now have to ensure that you actively want to receive that information. In the case of Sony my understanding would be that because they're collecting your IP and data about your behaviour, they're now required to make you aware of this and ask you to opt-in. But it goes a little deeper, so for things like IP addresses and other sensitive information, they have to be stored for a reason, your employees have to know the reason and there has to be an understanding of the security implications of storing that information by all employees who might deal with that information. It sounds waffle-y, but the way it's being implemented will hopefully reduce data breaches.
