[QUOTE="Dark__Link"]So if I rob a store, and the owner doesn't attempt to stop me, it's not legitimate theft?metroidfood

Hey, it's not like you actually shot someone. You just pointed the gun at them and they gave you the money willingly!

They secretly wanted to give me that money.

I'm much the same. If I go over the speed limit, it's by one or two MPH and it's only becaues I can't stare at the speedometer.

One thing that really sucks about manual transmissions in these parts in that East Tennessee is nothing but hills. When you come to a stop on a hill you're gonna roll back a little bit when you release the brake and shift into gear, and the idiots around here like to go bumper-to-bumper when you stop. Or hell, even at highway speeds.

This is the main thing that's always scared me about manuals. On steep hills you will roll back some and you can't control how close someone is behind you when you stop.

If you learn how to drive one well you won't roll back on hills if you don't want to.

A lot of cars even have "hill assist" that will either sense brake pressure or incline and keep the brakes engaged for a few seconds after you let off the pedal so you have time to get on the gas. It's not particularly useful once you've got enough experience with the car, though.

What's with this notion that driving manual takes more effort or is more mentally/physically taxing? Anyone who can actually drive stick well will tell you that it's just second nature and unless you have a particularly stiff clutch pedal, the extra "effort" is hardly noticeable.

The US economy is around 3x that of China, so no. Especially since their economy is based off of the west's. Also, the world is a global economy now anyway so the top economy is meaningless beyond bragging rights.

NEWMAHAY
Yeah but what I mean is that the US is further sinking in debt while China seems to be climbing, so i'd say its a matter of time for it to get bigger. and while what you said about the global economy is true, you have to admit that when someone says "world's number 1 country" pretty much everyone think "US!".

US Federal Deficit is shrinking and not increasing...

The deficit is decreasing, but the debt is still increasing (albeit at a slower rate).

The rate that China is expanding is scary. Have you checked out the mega-city that is currently underdevelopment. They are taking like 8 cities in china and linking them all together to make one massive city, and I mean MASSIVE.o0squishy0o
It's also completely empty. No one lives in these new Chinese cities. It's just a way of creating labor and deceitfully boosting their own economy.

Neither have ICBMs with the capability of reaching mainland US. And neither, despite outward appearances, are stupid enough to start a nuclear war.
