We are done for, N.Korea and Iran are cross-working to get rid of ISrael, thew U.S. and other countries. Korea North has working nuke experiements, which they will test on the U.S., which will be terrible, and Iran will be able to use their nukes as well. The issue is many countries in the ME will perish due to Irans Nukes, which because it;s the desert, exlosions and radiation poisoning will spread easily. N.Korea, is in a place where attacking them before they launch could have impacts on surrounding countries, and N.Korea is not afraid to suicide it;s own people. Which means we would not be able to stop the nuke weapon launch unless we stop it on the way, but then the countries around that explosion will perish. There's no way out, we should have taken the nuke threats more seriously! What can we do now?

Though, honestly, you'd hope that they would use them as a deterrent and not aggressively. I'm more worried about North Korea in that aspect. They seem to be threatening just about anyone who will listen.

Long-range ICBMs aren't difficult to shoot down. It's the short-range tactical nukes that would be a problem, simply because there's not enough time to respond.

ICBMs are ballistic, so once you know their trajectory, you can get targeting data.

let them know the international community wants to catalog their nuclear materials for tracking any future bombs and identify where a used bomb came from, let them know if they should use a bomb to expect a nuclear retaliation, and let them know if they don't choose to comply with cataloging nuclear material composition that they'll be the immediate default suspect in a nuclear attack then engage countries diplomatically, or pass more UN sanctions

Good thing you're in the USA. Thanks to the 2nd amendment, you're allowed to arm yourself for self defense. When you see the nuke, start shooting it.

I'm quite a ways away from any likely targets. Of course who knows where the hell the North Korean nukes will land, they'll probably be happy just to hit this continent. But it should make for some good viewing on CNN I guess.

The projected casualties for US and Japanese soldiers (and Japanese civilians) for an invasion of the Japanese mainland in 1945 were far higher than the casualties sustained by dropping the atom bombs. The US dropped those bombs to end the worst war in human history quicker without having to continue to fight a fanatical enemy that would stop at nothing to defend their land.

Neither have ICBMs with the capability of reaching mainland US. And neither, despite outward appearances, are stupid enough to start a nuclear war.

I don't think you quite understand how warheads work.

Blowing one up in mid-flight will NOT result in a nuclear explosion. You can put a nuclear warhead inside a nuclear explosion and it won't detonate.

Fissile material is not combustive.

Remain hopeful that deterrence through proliferation will prevail. And if it doesn't, know we can bomb them into a molten pile of glass if they tried anything.

North Korea's recent satellite was evidence they have the means of delivering a nuke to the USA. However accuracy and making a small enough nuke is another thing. Although they are supposedly working on enriched uranium nukes, which they could fire from an ICBM

Launching 1 somewhat successful satellite does not make a reliable delivery system for nuclear weapons. Especially since North Korea does not have nuclear weapons that are able to fit on a missile.

The rocket did it's job flawlessly. It's the stabilizers on the satellite, and the satellite itself that isn't working.

Iran doesn't have nukes....yet.

as for North Korea, nukes are literally it's only trump card for regime survival. They now know that they are - for the most part - safe from an outside intervention. As to whether or not the North Korean military or North Korean people will take over from the Kim family, remains to be seen. the NK people seem to have been so thoroughly beaten (physically and in spirit), brainwashed, and isolated from the outside world taht it'd be a surprise if anything did happen.

North Korea will have China against them if they use nukes on another country, and they can't afford to break ties with them. And Iran doesn't officially have nukes so far and even if they did and used them they're pretty much setting themselves up for quite the retaliation, which they'd lose as the majority of nation in the world is highly against nuclear weapons being used.

ummm.. I don't think any of them want to use Nukes against anyone because I;m pretty sure they realize it's suicidal ;s
