I dont know if this was gone over (its a long thread) but the wii isnt on the same level as other consoles. Most Wii owners I know also own an xbox or PS3. Its not that the Wii doesnt deliver it just delivers a different line-up. Though, the third party line-up is mostly garbage rip offs of stuff youd get on a xbox in better quality. First party titles are amazing, worth investing in the system. Besides its cheap so why not own both? The wii is like the netbook of the laptop world. Oh and I'm a big fan of netbooks, this was a compliment.

also of course you wouldnt use a PC for 10 years the system does so much more at the same time. devs should learn to tweak their games as to not overshoot the hardware. Im thinking people are growing out of gritty realism anyway. we should have more artsy games coming out. easy on the hardware so no need to invest millions in r and d. besides id rather have devs working on mechanics rather than graffics, we need more than COD in our mainstream market its pathetic.

haha alright. still alot of legit sources are saying that the consoles are going to skip a generation which is reasonable. normaly a new console is released every five years, so having the xbox 360 for 10 is pretty damn good. if my xbox gets me through 7 or so years of gaming i can live with a new investment. still we could be aproaching this mythical plateau in gaming where hardware stops being an issue... maybe? in the next generation of consoles?

I'm sure its not as hardcore as playing with a mouse and keyboard, but what is it like to connect your gaming laptop to your tv view hdmi? I only plan to play FPSs and action games with a xbox controller. I was thinking playing Hawk on max settings and amazing res would be better than on my xbox. Any performance issues?

also i cant my xbox controler for Crysis, the default settings are terrible.

btw are you kidding? microsoft just design the freaking kinect... xbox is not going anywhere. why waste such expensive hardware?
