Overwatch Getting Rave Reviews

Holy crap it is so fun! It is so great to see support classes get love in any game, but in a shooter!? Lucio is so fun to play. Mercy is so freaking overpowered. Beyond that is the super fun strategies you can pull off when you work together. Me and this Roadhog were working together to take down a team that went 3 DVA. He would hook them in, I would move behind them, and when the gal popped out her shell I would knock her back over his head and into our team.

It is such a blast. The game is so well designed. Even clueless newbie pick up groups can quickly come together and figure out ways to pull off really neat stuff.

The GS review in progress seems like it will get a solid 9.

It's just 5 reviews or something, it will most likely drop.

Prolly land at 85 or 90ish.

It is easily the best multiplayer this gen. I'm expecting most scores to be 9's and 10's.

And I can play both? One for SP, one for MP? I really don't know why you're trying to compare these games...

It just got another 10/10 at Game Informer. The haters are being run through.

But I think all 10/10's are PC reviews so far, were the game is at its best.

Getting a 90+ on metacritic is starting to be a big red flag for me. Haven't enjoyed a single game that's 90+ on metacritic besides GTAV in the last five years or so.

I think if any multiplayer shooter deserves perfect 10s and universal praise it's R6 Siege, but critics can't into deep, tactical gameplay or a slow paced, tense shooter so they shit on it.

Aside from TW3, most of my favorite games this gen aren't in the 90's on MC.

Rocket League, Second Son, Doom, to an extent Destiny, The Division, Dead Nation, Trials Fusion....to name a few.

Yeah, The Evil Within, R6 Siege, Dark Souls 3, Resogun, N++, Until Dawn, Geometry Wars 3, Catherine, Max Payne 3, XCOM, New Vegas, Race the Sun are some of my favorite games of the last few years and all are below 90.

Dark Souls II and Portal 2 are the only two I can think of that I enjoyed at 90+ on Metacritic.

Don't know what's going on. High 70s to low 80s seems like the ideal range for me.

The original was better and the new one was just damage control from the backlash. Why they have to remove a pose to add one is beyond me. They're both very standard poses and no one was even upset besides ONE person on a forum, who may or may not have been a troll looking to stir up some controversy.

Currently a 98 on Metacritic, making this the second highest rated game of all time.

Hehe it is kind of funny, the dissenting voice so far had nothing but good things to say except that you had to grind for cosmetic options.

It won't stay at 98 tho , i'm guessing 92 for final score which is brilliant.

Now, the question is, can i grab it like one year later and still be able to enjoy it?

It's a blizz game so probably, it'll last a long time and probably have a lot more balance/heroes/maps/modes by then.

Probably will have an active userbase for a very long time. Moreso on PC than consoles, but both will probably still be active for a long while.

It's a Blizzard game, so you could get it 20 years from now and still be able to enjoy it.

Might buy it one day when it's cheap...

I played a bit of it yesterday and I was also in the beta, it's a really solid game.

It's not gonna stay at 98 for long though, I expect it to fall as more reviews come in. Nice to hear it's a success, I knew it wouldn't flop.

It will drop when more reviews come out, making a claim of saying its highest rated game is really silly since there are barely any reviews for the game as its an online only game which require some time for reviews to come out but i gotta say you make great click baits charz, ever thought of becoming a PR person? :P

anyways, i played the beta and dont want to even get near it again, the game was far from being fun to play and online only? lool no way im paying $80 for an online only game

based on the beta its 6/10 in my books

I wish there was a campaign to this. It's one you really have to play day one to get the full experience. Play it day two and everybody will be a level 100 running around.

Im not gonna hate on it, but it's probably super overrated. Whenever Blizzard releases anything, people wig out and start loading their diapers at any piece of info regarding the game.

Looks like a cross between Pixar, Anime, Splatoon, and Vanquish... In other words, a Big Hero 6 video game.

@charizard1605: Well as others have pointed out you judge games you don't even play off review scores, which is understandable to a certain extent, but not to the point to call a game garbage. You make it out like you played it.

It's going to end up between 90% and 95% on MC when all the reviewers are counted. It has a good shot at getting a huge amount of attention from critics in the GOTY discussions this year along with Uncharted 4 unless someone pops up to steal both game's thunder.

I really like the game. They need to just add different weapons that function the same. Give us a little more to look at since we can only see our weapons.

I'm playing on X1 but I haven't heard anyone speak. This forum needs to have a topic designed to set up teams for overwatch

So Overwatch has no SP and it has online MP only? This game is overrated.
