Not at all. I never ONCE said the PS4 wasn't more powerful than the XB1. I have always said that the difference won't be very noticeable. 900P vs 720P isn't that noticeable. So, I restate my previous comment - you are full of sh*t.

720p vs 900p is noticeable what the hell are you smoking,720p up scale to 1080p will look more blur than 900p upscale to 1080p,just like 1080p will look sharper than 900p as well.

Funny. The screenshot thread on the PC game forum is loaded with screenshots from people who are playing the BF4 beta at maximum settings, 1080p (or even more), and getting 60 fps.

Really, I don't think it would be very shocking that a "PC forum" would be full of people proud of their rigs. How many people want to throw out their sub par settings screenshots?

I used to, all the time. Until this damn redesign of the site made posting images such a clusterfuck.

The PS4 should be able to run BF4 at 1080p using medium to high settings once they have optimised it. I would rather play 1080p at medium than 900p at high because of how much crisper the image will look at 1080p and what you lose in particle, shadows, AO etc you more than make up for in fidelity. In fact if BF4 is not 1080p on the PS4 I will not buy it, especially when KZ and COD are both 1080p on that platform.

Yeah is loaded by the same people,once again reason why i say most PC,if you don't have a 7970 or better GPU don't expect 1080p max out with 60 FPS,even the 7970 average 60 but has drops as low as 41 FPS,by sites who have make benchmarks on the game already.

The 7950 doesn't get 60 on 1080p max out,so yeah the majority of PC out there can't play it 1080p 60 FPS either,hell going by Steam most PC had 560Ti actually weaker than the PS4.

I'd probably cancel my ps4/xb1 pre-order and put it toward the purchase of a gtx 780 or 290x... if I still had a PS4 pre-ordered.

Well that's no problem because a R9 280x (just a rebraned 7970Ghz Ed.) is only $300, so....yeeaah. Oh, and the beta on PC is a complete mess and is horribly optimized so I wouldn't take it as representative of how rigs will perform when the game comes out.

$300 for the GPU alone where do you leave the PC to put the GPU i don't have one good enough for that GPU.

The number of PC gamers who will max this game at 60 FPS/1080p is > than zero by several MILLION. IT will take the Ps4 and Xbone a year AT LEAST to reach that type of install base.

@tormentos: each person has a different set up so making that blanket statement is foolish. Also by launch performance will be much better. Bf3 jump like 20fps when they updated it.

Once again those numbers are based on the beta, which a lot of people had issues with. And before people start arguing the PC vs Console graphics and performance, we need to actually see what the PS4 version looks like. If the PS4 is only running medium at 900p/60fps, then plenty of people will be able to top it

It is not. 720p to 1080p is definitely noticeable. 900p is alright, I guess, also a noticeable upgrade I'm sure. The difference between 900p and 1080p is one you can argue the significance of. But 720p is poop, standard of 6 years ago. We shouldn't be accepting that.

WTF dude you can't compare resolution like that. It completely destroys the density of the pixel. On top of it this is most likely some cheaply shopped marketing picture with some filter or lack of sharpening to emphasize the "differences" but nowhere near real life result. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but as someone who owns the 560ti (albeit one that I've heavily overclocked), I just haven't seen any reason to upgrade. I can generally get a clean 1080p/60fps in the vast majority of games so long as a few extraneous details such as high-level AA and high Ambient Occlusion are toned down. I would assume most people are in the same situation I am in, and won't upgrade until they feel it's necessary. Again, you're acting like it's some huge thing to get to 7970 levels; it's not--it's only $300 and it will only be getting cheaper in the next year or two.
