Greetings.

I don't know if it has been asked before. I want to know this game's title:

It's a space battle. We control a spaceship that fight against aliens ship/creatures in 2D plane (not 2.5D). The ship can move forward, backward and rotate 360 degrees.

Resource gathering and a lil' bit roleplaying. There are asteroids which when we destroy that, there are three type of rocks (aka resources) we can collect (by sucking them) for upgrading our ship. Upgrades could be a weaponry or larger ship so it can contain more loadouts, which features a grid system (similar to RE4's attache case). Among those load-outs is ion laser, and a tools for destroying the asteroids and sucking the rocks faster.

I played it in 2008-2009. But it COULD be far before that since I can't afford a new decent PC. Yes, it's in PC and I played it on Pentium III with Windows XP.

One last thing, if I recall it's made by Russian or Eastern Europe dev or something. But I'm not so sure about this.

That's all I can remember. Help me and thanks in advance.

Try these:

Escape Velocity Nova

Transcendence

Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space

Star Hammer

@Black_Knight_00: Thanks. Unfortunately it was not Dark Colony, X-COM, Star Control or Civilization II: Fantastic Worlds. However, the game engine looked similar to Civilization II: Fantastic Worlds (http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/test/1236-civilization-2-fantastic-worlds/image-1316.php), except that the player constructs individual buildings instead of cities and there weren't any AI enemies (aside from disease, lack of water, etc, that caused population to decrease).

Also, it is not Colonial Project (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehOZ3jCekGM).

Hey guys, I'm sorry this is really vague, but here goes.

The game was on PS2, and I got it from one of those demo discs. It was an Anime-style futuristic game where you controlled a transforming robot (or a mech suit, can't remember), and you could go on the ground and fight with cool swords or fly around as a jet. When you landed, you skidded for a bit and put your right arm back in the air. The jet you flew was white.

Thanks guys, that all I can remember.

@Black_Knight_00: This wasn't the game, but a link from there sent me to something similar to what I was looking for...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nN-12DgmLYU

The models were pretty much the same as this but it wasn't a 1v1 game, it was based around missions and such, and heaps of enemies flying around to battle.

OLD GAME: late 1990s probably

PLATFORM: I remember playing on PC but i could have been using an emulator

Genre: point and click game anime-looking very 2dimenional with a multi branched storyline

Perspective: from above like in GTA 1

Please help me out with this game I just cant seem to remember the name of this game

DESCRIPTION: It was basically a story based point and click game (i think).. I remember playing it on the PC and it had a very Anime look. The main character was a boy of school-age who had the ability to enter Computers and Telephones and any other electronic equipment you could find and he had a robot/electronic counterpart in the digital world and basically when he entered that world he encountered viruses and things like that and there were mini puzzles inside that game. and to progress in the game you had to explore and go to peoples houses and log in from their PCs (in the real world of that game) to keep progressing in the digital world... and it had a very elaborate storyline about some global virus that was infecting peoples computers and the boy had to stop it from happening... and as you kept progressing you faced bosses etc in later levels and the boy had to go to different places in real life as well to advance... thats all i know.

and there were anime-looking girls and lots of dialogue in the game too. it was very extensive as i remember please helpp

and the enviorment of the game is city like/urban you can click on different objects and interact with them especially if they are electrical and you can also talk to different people to get clues about what to do next and how to progress further... theres no wilderness or forests

and the ASPECT of the game is from the top like as if from the sky

@raidermari: A few questions: was there combat, would you call it an RPG? If yes, what was the combat like?

Also, an odd question: was there porn in it? I ask because most PC japanese adventure games are erotic in nature and this would make it easier to find it.

the main game was basically point and click and story line based but the mini games inside the main game had fighting in it... and no porn it was a very clean game it was about a boy in school who just got vacations or something. he later goes to his school as well to enter their computers

I would definitely call it an rpg.. the boy learns that he has the ability to enter the digital world and he becomes a robot-like thing when he enter the computers or telephones etc. there were battles in the digital world when he is a robot there are even bosses later on in the game when he has been in a few fights

Hello, trying to remind a name of a game I played when i was young. I will try to describe as much as I remember.

It was a game for Windows, older game, game was 3D ( it was using DX7,8 i think ), It was first person game. You were able to shoot with a bow or use your sword. You were usually killing a lots of creatures, bats but also you had to solve lot of puzzles so it was a adventure game perhaps. Scene were usually dark, there were differenc sceries .. trees, terrain .. but also you were in catacombs. There were a visible fog after some distance.

That's all i remember, also ,, yes, i haven't finished that game and i would like to :) I have tried to search images on google, but nothing similar to my game i played. Thank you . i would be happy to play that game again :)

It could literally be hundreds of fantasy first-person games. You need to provide more details. Something that might help is comparing the graphics to some other game (to narrow down the time frame).

i wish i remember. the graphics was really simple, no lighting, no shadows, lots of fog. mostly dark outside. I just remember pine trees and brown wood houses outside, then I was in catacombs .. colour or wall was bright .. white, orange, red, brown .. something like that. I don't think it was RPG like game. No levels or character stats. I am still trying to find some similar images on google, but without luck.

Lands of Lore: Guardians of Destiny,Descent to Undermountain and King's Field has much older graphics.

Hexen 2 looks like more like DOOM gameplay. This game was not so action but i would say, graphics of hexen could be similar.

I also remember i had to use a walkthough manual sometimes becuase i had problem to find a door or something which opens them.

But thanks :) if you have any other ideas, it helps to remind.

No no, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic looks much newer :) i think, my game was released around 2000 year.

I checked all versions of King's Field, and King's Field 4 looks close to my game. Perhaps my game has a little bit worse graphics.

@Black_Knight_00: i think we are very close :-) but i think my game is not rpg based. In arx fatalis i see lots of icons and stuff. In my game i had no mouse cursor i think and there was simple inventory. Also my game is not all about dungeons, if i remember i was fighting outside in night. In some passages i remember i was stuck i i had to use game story walkthough .

@wh1sp3r1k: if you were outside, then it wasn't Arx Fatalis - I'm pretty sure that game takes place entirely underground.

Anyway, if it's similar to Arx Fatalis, but not an RPG...then I guess it could be Thief 1 or 2? Then again, Thief didn't have any bats. Are you sure it's a firsr-person medieval game with bats and bows?

@Planeforger: Arx Fatalis has really bad draw distance: it tends to give the illusion of being outside at night in high-ceiling town areas.

I must say, fog+bow makes me think of Turok, though I guess that's quite a stretch.

Or could it be Arthur's Quest: Battle for the Kingdom?

@Planeforger: yep, I am sure. You said bats and bows, well, i mean 'bat' like an animal :-)

Also i am pretty sure i was outside at the begining of the game, it was night. Also i think game was much simple then mentioned games.

I know thief games :-) by the way damn post limit here! Also i checked arx fatalis on the youtube and no, its not what i played. Arx fataliis is complex, you can pull things this was not in my game

I just thought of a game today that I played through once and cant seem to figure out what it was.

I am sure it was a PS2 fighting and shooting game. I am guessing 2000-2005 time frame. It was more realistic and was darker. I remember the final battle was a fist fight on a roof top with a lot of rain. It was third person.

Im still picking my brain for more information and will update as I go. Its really bugging me at the moment.

Please describe the main character: male/female? Multiple characters? Also, please expand on the "fighting and shooting" concept: is it a game where you mostly punch people but you can occasionally pick up guns?

To start with, try:

@Black_Knight_00: The Final Fight Streetwise seems close but the fighting style doesn't seem right. The main character is male. I don't remember there being multiple characters. Doing my own research puts the game to be similar to Max Payne or a Hitman game but they don't seem right either. I believe the fights were always one on one as well. I think I remember a flashy AI system to help out with aiming and fighting.

Thanks for the help with this, but my brain finally clicked this morning while sipping some coffee. It was True Crime. I knew it couldn't be something to out of the ordinary and I guess I had the raining boss fight wrong. It was actually a ring of fire boss fight. Thanks again.

Hey, i might have a nice challenge for you guys!

So this game i played a long time ago..

It was a side scroller with engineers, first player always blue and up to 3 others could join the fun, red yellow green.

It was about getting trough the levels hammering down everything you could see.

Then there were these.. Little running hammers (if i remember right) and you made them appear by destroying stuff. Then you had to hit them so they stay down for a moment and you can collect them with a vacuum cleaner. (Yes. Its real. Im sure)

These guys acted as funds to buy bigger stuff to wreck havoc.

I can also remember seeing the back of the box, which showed one of the engineers having fun with a flamethrower, also quite fun :D

Soooo.. Side scroller, weird engineers, running hammers, Pc, mid 90s

Anyone wanna take a guess? Id love to play that again ^^

Hello! I was playing around with a new game called Ragnarok and the texture and the game play reminded me of an older game (it's basically the exact texture just HD) I used to play and I can't think of the name of it to save my life!

The game was provided by Yahoo Games (my god I know) from around the 2000's the main story was a RPG and it dealt with this girl (I believe with purple hair) going around the kingdoms fighting these 'bad' guys/animals/mystical creatures and you could level the players up with different outfits (if you found them in special treasure places) and choose who you wanted and who you didn't want in your party(I remember I had a guy and two females in mine the guy being a magic welder). I know there were different worlds you could travel to with the beginning dealing with the desert and the very last mission dealing with this lava boss battle ordeal. I do remember their was a second version of this game made with the desktop icons being a guy with green hair but I honestly can't think of the name of it. I understand I'm horrible at describing this game considering it was over 10 years ago.

Any help will truly be appreciated!

I've recreated a picture of how I remember the screen if the four colony pods landed successfully.

The terrain tiles are from Mars, Land of No Mercy and the colony pods are from Marc Salotti's Mars game, both have been ruled out.

Hi everyone!

I had this game on pc. It's very empty in my memories. The only i can remember is that I was with a girl, who has a sword (guess it takes place in medieval times) and maybe i had a partner who was also a girl. These two were against some monsters maybe or beasts. There is a scene where these beasts tie the girls up,. (don't be dirty minded:D) That's all what I can remember. also the loading scene is like a yellow-brown bar. oh and when you died the whole screen starts to spin around then fades in black.

maybe it's a 1998-2003 game. 3D definitely. I don't know the angles. but it was a third person shooter game for sure.

Really want to play with this game, hope you can help me. thank you!!

@Black_Knight_00: Exactly like that, but was definitively in English. I know it's not Guardian Wings (or a similar title) but it's along the same genre.

Try Guardian of Paradise and Laxius Power 1-3

@Black_Knight_00: Neither of those but thank you for trying ^^; It definitely had a female lead and the story was warped around her. but again thanks for at least attempting for the title.

Hello everyone, I made a registration here, so you could help me and I hope that will happen. I remember playing a game - It was a 2D, some kind of a quest with a sideways view - your units move from the left side of the screen to the right(like super mario), you control 3 or so units and you can switch between them so one of them is the main one. I remember there was a shooter some kind of a sniper(similar to the one in the DotA), a wizard and each one had different abilities, you can choose how to upgrade them with points and stuff.. During the levels there are minions - when you meet them you start a battle and you take rounds to attack. I remember an Ice level or something, where the snow was blowing towards me and made it harder to walk and jump. The Boss was very hard also...I remember a quest you had to take a bag and bring it to someone, there were ghost-like creatures on some levels.. Most of the characters were dressed in something like brown monk-like robes. I think it is atleast 6-7 years old. I think i got it from a Bulgarian PC Magazine gift CD. It was a great game, I hope someone tells me what was it's name. Thank you in advance!
