Official ''Can't remember the title of a game'' thread 2.0

#1051 Edited by Mr_Saccho (10 posts) -

@Black_Knight_00: I looked it up on Youtube, and while it's not Gauntlet Legends, it is very similar to that. The graphics are supposed to be slightly better.

Also, I just remembered that the swordsman wore blue clothes, and the redheaded muscular guy wore green.

Try Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2 and Champions of Norrath and its sequel Champions: Return to Arms

#1053 Posted by Mr_Saccho (10 posts) -

@Black_Knight_00: Definitely not Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, even though those games are AWESOME and I still can't find a copy of Dark Alliance 2 without somebody asking for pure gold in exchange!

I tried Champions of Norrath and the sequel, but unfortunately they were not the right one.

I'm gonna try to remember and post any more details, but unfortunately I don't remember much more from the game at the moment.

#1054 Posted by Mr_Saccho (10 posts) -

I feel the game might have had preset names for each of the characters, and they seemed to me as very unusual names. Not 100% sure, but the girl character might have been named Tina.

Also, I remember the stats for the characters were:
The swordsman was balanced in strenght, speed and health
The girl who kicks was weak but very fast
The redheaded muscular guy was slow, but the strongest and with most health
The purple sorcerer/magician had the lowest health, but the only one with magic, which was pretty strong.

Godai - Elemental Force

@Black_Knight_00: I can't remember the name of this game. All I remember it was a PSOne game, it ended with "... Force" something of the sort. Um, gameplay, I remember only hitting a vending machine and bottles drop from it till gets bust. When you drink the sodas you replenish your life. I remember the game was awesome. Thanks B.Knight!

hey guys,

There was this game i used to play that i can't really remember the name. i played this game on the PC around 2000-2005. This game was from the top view, kinda like the old gta's but the graphics were a bit better. In this game you played as a robot, this game had a single player mode and a multiplayer mode. In the single player mode you were just this robot roaming around fighting with missiles and bullets, in both the modes this robot had two forms, first its original robot form and second kinda like a floating car.In the multiplayer mode there was the red team and the blue team. In this mode each had their own base and both the teams were headed by the main robot and you could create your own armies, one the floating car and second helicopters and after creating a certain number of cars there was this giant car which you had to escort to the enemy base and once that car reaches the enemy base you win the game. These are all the details i can think about, any help is much appreciated. Please reply ASAP.

Hi, I don't remember much of this game, but if someone can help me it'd be great. :)

* It's an old 2D PC game that came in a CD that I played when I was little. You crashed your spaceship in a farm and had to collect items to repair it.

What I remember is:

* In the beginning you had to find a needle in a haystack near a horse stable. After that you snuck in the back of a truck which drove to the city.

* There was this guy in the street that repaired his car and then the car crushed him (lol).

* You enter a circus where you find your spaceship on display and fix it.

* There was a mini game in the circus where you ran around with a hat (?) trying to catch money and avoid banana peels otherwise you drop your money.

* Near the end you had to steal someone's chicken wings bucket because it had a piece of the spaceship in it.

I know it's not much but that's what I remember... please help!

There are many details you can list. What the character and the enemies looked like, for instance. Remembering details about the gameplay can narrow down the list of systems it could be on.

Hello, sirs. I need your help.

I would kindly ask you to help me remember a game I saw a few months ago, it might not even have launched yet.

I believe you played as a robot in a isometric view and shot everywhere nonstop. The effects really impressed me. It looked like Lara Croft and The Guandian of Light but flashier. If I remember correctly it was on Steam Greenlight or something like that, so it's an indie game most likely. I tried to find in my youtube history and in the greenlight site but had no success.

Thanks.

hi guys, i've been searching for this game for a long time now, hope you can help

it is a 2d platformer/shooter with side perspective, on pc, i've played it in late 90s/early 00s but i don't know when it has come out

you are some guy (maybe half-robot??) that wakes up on an operating table in some lab and starts killing everybody; you beat the level by getting a keycard and opening a door which takes you to the next part of the complex (afaik no levels take place outside)

there are of course different weapons, but i can only remember a flamethrower which made the mobs run around as human torches with waving hands before crumbling to dust

you can kill defenseless scientists who roam the levels (a nice touch was that one hit from the weakest gun makes them fall to their knees and it takes one more to finish them off); it has some gore as you might expect from the description so far

maybe it had "urban" in its name but i'm really not sure... (and it certainly isn't Abuse, the opponents are strictly human, and the graphics are somehow brighter if we go to compare the two)

I'm fairly sure it was a 90s game but it could be early 20s.

It was a PC game.

You were a male character.

The game started off with you laying in bed with a female character (could have been your wife) in something that resembled a castle. Which is why when i called the game prince of persia back then, i thought it was a prince of persia game but it wasn't. I don't think many games start like this so this should be a pretty clear indicator to someone that played the game.

The gameplay was isometric rpg-ish, it was kind of like Nox or Diablo, but not quite.

I remember it being slightly more 3d than diablo 2 and with better graphics, but i could be wrong, it was quite a while back so my perception of good graphics is not very accurate.

It was set in older times, as i mentioned, you were in something that looked like a castle and i remember a giant church somewhere along while playing it. But i don't think i entered it.

I don't remember if it was controlled fully by the mouse or if there was some keyboard action going on. I do not remember if you attacked by clicking or keyboard or if there was any sort of attack going on.

Outside your castle, there was concrete on the floor, not sand or sand tiles, so i don't really know if it was arabian or medieval.

I'm fairly sure that it was past the MS-DOS era because of the graphics.

It's not Al Qadim - The Genie's Curse

I think they were polygon graphics, they were definitely more 3d-ish than Al Qadim

I remember them looking a bit more like Nox but the view was more zoomed in

The overall background (at least at the beginning of the game) was much brighter than Revenant, or Dragonfire - The Well of Souls or NightStone, these games have an overall dark color palette, at least in the videos. All these three games seem to be a lot more fantasy-based. This particular game appeared to be set in a much more realistic world.

So it was an isometric clicky hack & slash RPG with a persian/arab setting? When you say "more 3D" do you mean polygon graphics?

Probably not it, but try Al Qadim - The Genie's Curse, just to rule it out

Hi, i wondered if anyone could help. It sounds like a stupid game and I will probably get bored playing it once I have found it, but I have had an urge to paly this game for about a month now but I cant remember what the game was.

It was set in either a newspaper/magazine office or a TV studio. You had to build up your stardom, find articles/news stories to run and create publications. It was a sort of a tycoon game, hiring and firing staff etc. Those are all the details i can remember and im sorry for the lack of info, just thought it was worth a go!

Hello! I hope someone can help :)

I have the title of the game on the tip of my tongue....but can't get it! It's an online game where you create different breeds of fantasy creatures that have different skills. I remember one was called a Digger. I played it within the last 5 years, and I want to say it starts with a P. You would go through different worlds, one was a swamp, one was a desert and another was a lush green land, there were more but I don't remember. You would search for different foods that gave your creature energy and you could also talk to other creatures, so it was a multiplayer online game, but no fighting or killing :). I'm trying to think of what else might help. Oh, they bred using eggs and when they hatched you found out what "powers" they had and if they could live in the warm worlds or cold worlds or both. That's all I got! Oh, and it wasn't a FB game or like that. It was a standalone website. Thanks in advance!

Hey, I don't know name of this game:

-your character is girl (mayby vampire)

-graphics are cartoonish. I think the game is few years old at most.

- battles are minigames/puzzles where you try to match colors of minions. 3 in horizontal row makes wall and 3 in vertical attack your enemy. Some minions like vampires and ghosts are larger than others and have special effects.

PC game. There was some story and you could walk around very limited "map" in third person between the battles. and also level up and add special minions into your "deck"

SOLVED, left for future reference

Hi there, I would like to ask you for assistance in finding a certain game, that I remembered playing while looking at the Botanicula Humble Bundle.

What i remember about it is:

  • It was set on surreal worlds each of which was governed by different girl (they were propably sisters)
  • I would say that it was FPS
  • The gameplay was a mix of action and adventure/exploration of the worlds, which themselves were gardens with different plants and sometimes creatures
  • The gardeding produced something (seeds, color, life essence), which was necessary to proceed and to produce more of said commodity
  • Judging from my age (19) it must have been released in the 2000s
  • And at last, but not the least: I played it on PC

Well then, sorry for bothering you all, but after posting this list I somehow managed to persuade google into taking this all into account and this wiki page showed up, which I am pretty confident in.

#1093 Edited by Ary-San (7 posts) -

I've been trying to sign up for this site for a long time (Google Chrome messing me up or something) I've finally managed to register.

Please help me, I've literally been dying to find this old Playstation 1 game, I've searched the internet with my descriptions but I haven't even come close:

Type: PS1

Genre: Possibly Adventure, Stealth?

Description: the main character starts out in some sort of square birds-eye-view jail. I can remember something like a Zipline above that keeps going back and forth, you escape from the jail by climbing it then you have to not be seen as you try and run out. Once you make it out of prison I can remember there are some mini robots or something, and I went into a bar at one point and I think people were looking for me.

Controls: I found the controls extremely awkward, like you have to turn first then you run, you can't run normally. It's what made the game so hard

When I describe this game to my friends they laugh at me and say it's all in my head and that in never existed... Please help me find it, it's one of my favourite games. I can remember the main character looked a bit chinese/japanese maybe, like he had a bald head with a pony tail, like a monk? I'm not entirely sure since everything is so blurry when I try to remember it but I will know the game straight away when I see it.

Please help, thanks...

Edit: Some more details, I think he could have been running away from some sort of Asylum or Mental Institute where they lock you up. But either way, Jail/Prison/Asylum he is still escaping from it. Because I remember the main character wearing something they wear in those sort of places. The way he moves is definitely weird.

Edit2: The graphics where slightly overhead, looked really similar to this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yoyogames.gravemaker

I have no idea where to look but here. I have browsed the entire Wikipedia list of co-op games AND the entire list of beat 'em up games at least three times. I'll give as much details as I possibly can.

The game I am looking for, I played at least 9 or 10 years ago on a Windows XP computer (the game might be older than this though). It was a beat 'em up game I played with a friend back then. He played with the keyboard, I played with a joystick. The game was in 3d with an (I believe) isometric point of view. There were 4 characters to choose from, one of them was a woman with high heels, one of them a big black guy, and the other two I don't really remember, because we always only played with the first 2. They all had special move, which made their hands/feet glow. The levels were made up out of sections, where you had to beat all the enemies to advance to the next section. In the final section, you had to battle a boss to advance the story and go on to the next level.

I'll try and describe some bosses, but this is all I can remember

I remember that there was a boss in a disco area, where you had to fight him on the dance floor. There were either strippers or just skimpy dressed women that functioned as the boss's minions. That's all I can describe about that boss.

Then there was this crazy professor guy with one huge arm, that he could stomp on the floor, causing a shock wave to travel over the floor, you had to evade those shock waves by jumping/standing on something else (anything but the ground). This boss was the boss we always died at.

I really hope somebody will recognise this game and I'll be eternally grateful to the person that can tell me what game this is. I need to play it again, because I can't get the game out of my head. Thanks in advance to the people that are willing to help.

I think I can safely assume nobody has heard of this game? I've been looking for this game for years, but I just can't find it :(.

@XTheRandomGuyX: I'm stumped. I combed every fighting game on pc from 1996 to 2003 and the only one that somewhat fits your description is Fighting Force

#1100 Edited by XTheRandomGuyX (7 posts) -

@Black_Knight_00: I might have gotten a lot of facts wrong, it's been so long since the last time I played it. It might be Fighting Force, but I'm not sure. Thanks anyway!
