Hey, I haven't gone anywhere! I'm just sporting a new look.
Sweet sig! Watch out, the anti baby fanboys are going to start harassing you :PI'll agree with that, but still there's has got to be some consistency with the way GS scores its games, because if numbers don't matter that much, then why even bother attaching them to a review, better yet, why make them be the first thing you see when you click on a review? In the end numbers may not matter as much to the reviewer, since in the end it was a positive review, but they do matter tremendously to the readers, perception, be it right or wrong, IS reality, and I guarantee the perception around these forums is that GS's review system is broken...It's still not valid, because the standards used to evaluate Kameo were not the same as Ratchet and Clank, and even if they were, it's highly unlikely that Kameo would've gotten the same score it did, as standards tend to go up as time goes along,
Hence why even though MGS3 was flat out reviewed as being a better game than MGS2 in most all regards, it still had a lower score than MGS2. The scores simply aren't as important, or really carry as much significance, as most people put on them.

You really can't make comparisons between scores like that, given that Kameo is about 2 years old, and was rated under a different system of scoring than this one.[QUOTE="zayas_81"]*a little amber flies in from southern cali* Kameo recieved an 8.7... Seriously I played Kameo, a good platformer, but could it be that much better than R&C? I know it was a different reviewer, but its still the same GS, right? ... Right?Skylock00
The scores simply can't be directly compared.
I beg to differ. Granted the score system has changed, but mainly they just did away with decimals. I know its not fair to completely compare them head to head, but its fair to use a similar game in the same genre for reference, right?
