Holy $h!^ I googled the guy this article claims is responsible for the firing JOSH LARSON. He's written this article called "Reaching Gamers: Your 10 Minute Guide" Its incredible on a section called "Game Content websites: "Just as sports fans head to ESPN.com daily for the latest on sports, millions of gamers every day head to leading gaming websites for news, information and media about video games. Speculation.

It will never be confirmed, but it isn't speculation anymore. The Kane & Lynch video review has been taken down, Gamespot's own employees are angry and in disbelief. Jeff has been contacted many times and he says he cannot talk about it. It's sort of like confirmed without a confirmation.

interesting. if he can not talk about it, then he was offered something for his silence.... because if it was proven he was fired due simply to sponsor pressure, i wonder if there could be a lawsuit...

If there is a real case for wrongful termination, there could be a suit. And keep in mind that he may not be able to talk about it because of stipulations in his contract. The problem is that we simply do not know. Speculation (whether from you or I) really doesn't add clarity to that question. And conspiracy theories only make a bad situation worse, you know?

You've must have had some lunch and feel much better now, whatever the reason your posts are more inline with the pulse of the community. Your previous posts were not invalid, I guess they just trampled on the community's feelings of victimhood. The blood letting has just begun, let it run its course... Its like being diagnosed with a bad disease eventually we'll reach acceptance, but right now we're in anger :twisted:

There isn't a division. Cake was just showing the other users that us mods are feeling the same things.

Exactly, I just thought people might be interested.

Problem is, nobody knows how much of it is true. Nobody knows all the details. Nobody will ever know all of them. And as I've said countless times, there isn't a gaming website on earth that isn't influenced somehow by the suppliers of their ad revenue. Doesn't mean they are allowing publishers/developers that are purchasing ads to influence the scores in the slightest...but it may mean that reviewers can be fired for costing this BUSINESS a lot of income.

In the end, I'm 100% sure there is a lot more to the story than Kane & Lynch and Edios' bitterness.

Listen you tool, Don't you know you can't put a price on credibility? I know your type, only cares about the bottom line, But don't you realize that without credibility Gamespot would have never earned a penny!
