[QUOTE="voodoothe2nd"]I'm starting to feel as if my 8800gt is getting old. Well, in the computer industry it is. Come to think of it, is it possible to overclock a video card? I'm guessing you can't, but...BumFluff122I'm not in any way a hardware expert so someone please correct me if I'm wrong but companies who make video cards often sell overclocked editions. I myself bought a BFG GTX 280 OC edition recently. SO I think it is possible (Though I don't know how to do it myself)
But, technically, isn`t overclocking a CPU just setting the clock-speed higher than the one the company set it at?Meaning if the CPU or GPU company is setting a clock-speed, it will never REALLY be overclocked, I think.
By the way, is it worth buying a new GPU every year? Is there a world of difference between my 8800GT and your BFG GTX 280? I know there's improvement but will changing it every year get you a better gaming experience? Just wondering.
I finished all my PS2 games except for Star Ocean 3 and Syphon Filter Omega Strain. Finished all of my PS3 games so far.
IMO...Don't beat a game = waste of money

True, my bro was playing god of war 1 for a few hours until a bug stopped him from going any further. We both think it was a waste of money.
Yeah, I guass a very good price if your building it yourself it would be what, less than 1500$, or 750 pounds (very roughly). Pre-assebled boosts the price ever so slightly.
I also believe its way too early to start speculating on PS4....what excites me is that the PS3 is only just starting to peak in terms of tapping its potential...beekayjayI agree, some guy said their only tapping 40%, whether that number is precise, I don't know, but it's only going to get better. Has anybody ever compared early PS2 pics to late PS2 pics (like Metal Gear Solid 3?)
I can run with no anti-aliasing with everything on medium except for shaders and, shadows? which are on high @ 1440x900
Heres my rig:
Core 2 duo @ 2.66 Ghz (yours will be good, it just won't be using the extra 2 processors)
Nvidia 8800GT (Yours is better, so depending on your resolution, you should get better results)
6 Gigs of RAM (But I'm running Windows Vista 64bit, so I'm using 1.4 just for the operating system, between 2 and 3 when I game Crysis. Consider 2 or 3 on XP or normal vista)
