Amazing how GS advertises its own competitors.

Really glad to see the boxed version picture of this game.

I hope it is a change for good because showing a generic icon for games in place of the box picture was one of the most catastrophic decisions Gamespot made in the last couple of years. Problem with the icons :
- you can not see the difference between a 15$ DLC and a full retail release (see the last F1 game)
- if you are a collector, no way to see if the game exists physically or not
- for console owners, and you re-sell used or buy used, you also want to know if the game exists as a physical boxed copy or only as a downloadable game. No way to know this on Gamespot (see Lawbreakers)
- some of the icons are completely wrong and refer to another game (see Medal of honor 2010)

@videogameninja: I don't know if it will be a financial success but what is sure is that this game is insanely marketed by Activision, with the help of the whole gaming sites community and (I guess) huge sums of money.

Look at Gamespot newsfeed, it's Destiny 2 all over the place.

Gamespot has apparently received a lot of money from Activision to do the promotion of this game. When you see the newsfeed, it's all about Destiny 2. Pfff... come on GS ...

This is multiplayer done well, not an "always online" cash grab like Destiny or The Division.

Welcome to the new "always online" future.

Microsoft original Xone model of being always connected is unfortunately winning.

It seems there are only on this comments threads employees of Activision vs employees of Electronic Arts.

@alucard1001: Fully agree with you. I think maybe the Xone X saved the Xbox brand and it's a good thing.

This is a good thing. The last thing we need is Sony becoming a monopoly for HD platforms.

Real problem was they first developped a cloud-based game always online. Then, after Microsoft's 180 on the Xone, they had to re-do everything so that the campaign could be played offline. That's the cause for the delays.

(Really loved the first one, still have to play the second.)
