[QUOTE="Jawacopoko"]are these good enough specs for running games like diablo 3, and guild wars 2 (not released yet) on ultra high graphics with NO lag? This dell computer is on sale, it comes with: -2nd Gen Intel core i7 2600 processor -genuine windows 7 home premium -12 GB memory; 1 TB hard drive -1 GB ATI Radeon HD 6450 DDR3 Graphics Card -16X DVD +/-RW Drive -Dell 24 widescreen flat panel monitor. Sale Price : $999. Can someone tell me if this is a good deal?

Terrible, terrible graphic card, sorry it's a very bad build without a better graphic card. A good one i'll cost you another $200. And you'll prob. need a better PSU too. So what your really looking at is a $250-300 upgrade before you can game on it. -Sorry. And whats with that 12GB ram? thats so overkill for most people that it's not even funny. :?

[QUOTE="catasaurus"]

cool, thanks man. question? if i wanted to sli with another 580, what psu would be acceptable?

Silicel1

Well since you are rockin OC'd 580 I wouldnt get anything less the 1000W. Something like Corsair, Antec, Seasonic etc.

Your kidd'n? That card should run off any good 650w PSU even with a really OC'ed CPU.

It's a new computer, I build it like 3 or 4 weeks ago. I recently moved it to sit on my desk so I might just not have noticed it before when it was on the floor by my desk. I moved to a different room that's smaller so the desk was the only place I have space for it. It sounds like a tattoo machine at work.Serial-No_3404
It's probably the case, HDD cages may be terrible dampening the HDD's vibrations, whenever the case sits on the desk the desk make a resonance sound, thats probably what your experience.

[QUOTE="swehunt"][QUOTE="jtcraft"]As long as your psu has the power and you have room for a third card you can add another Nvidia gpu as PhysX card. Though I wouldn't recommend buying a video card to just use it for PhysX. If you are having low performance with your 460's because of PhysX try disabling SLI and dedicate one of your 460's for PhysX in NCP. Mafia 2 is a prime example where it is better to disable SLI and dedicate one of your gpu's to PhysX. You won't have to do that for every game that uses PhysX but some you will need to for the best performance.jtcraft
No he is not having trouble running phsX on his SLI gtx460, he just wants it because he do. I cannot reccomend buying another card for phsx when the ones he already got is ample, physX and maffia 2 on a single gtx460 is fully possible.

Only at a low res. But I never said he was having problems nor did I recommend that he get another video card for PhysX. Just that he could if he wanted.

I was playing it just fine on my 1080p monitor. gtx460 that is.

So is the Motherboard and everything else fine/ would be able to handle games such as Swtor and Wow?Mshxi420
Change the HD6790 for a HD6850, and change the CPU for a 955BE, change the PSU to a cheaper one but still adeqvate to power up your rig. Change the memory to two 2GB (or a 4GB kit containing 2*2GB modules) The motherboard is AM3+ capable so it fine but the rest need to be changed out. A much more capable system would be. 955BE HD6850 4GB ram (2*2 dual modules for dualchanel) 550w psu. The best about it that it wont be any more expencive.

Alright cool thx for the feedback. The reason i went with a high PSU was because my last powersupply came stock and i guess i fried it pretty quickly.Mshxi420
Thats not because of wattage, it was due to the fact that is was a low quality one. Always quality over wattage, the TX750 has both Q and the wattage. But a vx550 has the quality and the wattage too, hopefully it's alot cheaper sinse your on a budget.
