Well if it has to be a video game character then I want original names, names you don't hear everyday you know? That have a sense of uniqueness.

So I'll have to go with Jake for a boy, and Chloe for a girl.

Adziboy

Yeah, so out of Drake, Pacman, Wario etc and you wanted ones you dont hear everyday... you chose Jake and Chloe. Yeah... original.

Sounds like someone's Sarcasmometer is broken...

I agree with all of them. The thing is, they're all so seemingly simply (except for maybe the customizable in game XMB) that there's no excuse for Sony to avoid putting them in. Letting people rename their accounts for a fee means extra income, Sony. And what's so hard about letting us delete 0% games from our Trophies list?

I'm not afraid to use it in the heat. I just flat out don't. My room is hot enough without turning on my PS3/space heater. It only recently got hot around here, though, so I haven't had to worry about it much.

Agent and LA Noire are not getting released this year. If they were, they'd have been at E3.

Is it a desktop? Why don't you just pull the drive from the old PC and plug it in as a slave drive on the new pc? You'll be able to access all your files and folders and transfer them at your leisure.

[QUOTE="alexsfslo"]

It sound like a hair dryer. The fan kick in about 5 minutes of playing a game. I tryed alot of diffrent games and it happens in every game.It is in well ventillated spot it has enough space around it and i also vaccum clean it every 2 weeks. It is 2 years old 40gb model. What could be the cause of this it wasn't happening to me in the last summer and it was very hot to. But it happend before to but only in Uncharted 2 and God Of War 3. But now it just happens in every game and it won't stop even after 3 hours of playing a game.

MFbronz

that is signs of YLOD my friend. the same thing happened to my 60 gig. the heat cores are burned out so the fan has to work overtime.

hate to be the bearer of bad news.

+

It can be, but not always. I have a 60 gb that has done that since I got it in 2007 and it's still going strong. Just last night I fired up the thing, and a min or two of just browsing the XMB made the fans kick into overdrive. Some 60gb PS3s just do that. That being said, I've thought about getting in there and applying new thermal paste lately, just to be safe. Just haven't done it yet.

I actually wasn't afraid of clowns until I saw that one. Thanks.

hahahahaha! welcome to my hell

And I didn't hate clowns until I saw the movie that clown is from... Killer Clowns from Outer Space. Terrible movie, incredibly campy... but not so when you're watching as an 8 year old kid...

Thought I'd add that yes, the monitor is fully functional. I use it as my PC monitor.

Alright, so I have an HP w2207 computer monitor that I have used since late 2007/early 2008 as my PS3 monitor. Yes, it's HDCP compliant. Yes, I've used it a TON before as my monitor. Plug a DVI>HDMI adaptor in and I'm all set... press and hold the PS3 power button... and here's where I now run into problems I NEVER had before.

When prompted to choose whether to output via HDMI, I always just get past the screen, change my settings and play for hours.

Now, though, for whatever reason, when I select YES I get a frequency overrange message. And obviously when I hit "NO," it doesn't work... even though the DVI signal still says ACTIVE on the monitor. So neither option works even though I can still see the initial PS3 screen prompting me to choose Yes of No for HDMI.

Here's the thing... the last time I did this was maybe 14 months ago. Now when I try, the damn thing just won't work when it worked hundreds of times before. So my question is this... were there any settings added via firmware updates that make HDMI>DVI connections to PC monitors difficult or impossible? Why is it that I'm suddenly unable to do something I used to have no trouble doing?

I was excited about Fat Princess and bought it pretty soon after launch, but I haven't played it much at all. Same goes for 1943. I don't necessarily regret buying them, but I wouldn't miss them if I didn't have them. Calling All Cars was probably my most pointless purchase. That game just wasn't very good.
