Sure, Sony fanboys talked a lot of trash. Of course, Microsoft fanboys talked every bit as much trash. As for being hypocritical, how? I didn't say, "Sony is 100% honest and doesn't over hype anything and Microsoft is this rediculous lying hyping machine." I'm saying they both lie and over hype. I don't see how that's being hypocritical.

In other words: Don't dish it if you can't take it.

Actually Heretrix, what you should take away from this thread is A) don't believe the hype machine and B) don't overgeneralize by lumping people together into a big group, and then attributing the words or actions of a few (or one) to all of that group. That's actually a logical fallacy, and you should be aware that you perpetrate it all the time.

The timing is about right, but I'll believe it when I see it. Too many supposed updates have fizzled to let me get too hyped about this.

I think the high price actually may help Sony in the end. It has obviously crippled what could have been a sales explosion early in the console's lifetime, but I think the fact that it's expensive gives it a certain product image in the mind of the consumer, if perhaps only the "non-hardcore" consumer. "It's expensive? It must be great! I'll get one when I can afford it."

Whereas the 360, in the mainstream view, comes across as cheap electronics with the reported hardware problems, etc. The way it looks kind of feeds into this image, I think.

I'd buy it - this is one less reason to buy a 360 if true, and another reason to hold off until MS charges what the hardware is actually worth... say $200.

Definitely funny to see fanboys of all colors constantly trying to change the rules in order to back up their position - ie. sales only matter until they don't favor us, reviews only matter from certain websites, it's completely exclusive if it's "console exclusive," it's no longer "console exclusive" so it was never exclusive. THIS is why I still visit these stupid forums, I think.

You and GhostMLD are the most supercilious posters on the entire site. The PS3 has antivirus software that can be run in conjunction with the web browser. Next complaint? I'm positive it'll be worth reading/responding to.
